      My first LD?

I've been trying to lucid dream for more than 2 weeks now and finally made some progress. I woke up after 4 hours of sleep and tried the FILD technique. Didn't work and i fell asleep. After some ordinary dreaming, i was in a jungle/forest like place, but it wasn't very bushy just a couple of jungle like stuff. I could see the beautiful night sky and started to fly. I was like "hey! this is only my imagination" (didn't realize i was dreaming, just that i was imagining it) then i woke up. But no, not in my bed. In the same place, lying in the grass. I stood up and tryed to fly (RC?) and guess what: i could. I just leaned back like i was on water and started to levitate. And then, disaster happened. "omg! i'm lucid dreaming! finally!" I got excited and felt the dream was getting weaker. I just felt it. I immediately fell down from the air and found myself in a darker place with trees and it reminded me a bit of my grandma's garden. Then i said to myself "let's change the scene then" I wanted to be in Hogwarts (yes, im a Harry Potter fan). Didn't work. I raised my hands and tried to rip the dream. Didn't work either. Then i thought i should spin, like i read before, but then, i really woke up.
It was short, but there was something in it that felt different. I wasn't just a robot in the dream world. I was there. Alive in my dream. The flying was awesome, even if it was just for some seconds.
So do you think this was a Lucid Dream? A DILD?

It sure sounds like it to me man, congrats. The control will come with time. That is pretty amazing you were able to fly on your first LD, many people take a long time before they can do that.

Congrats and welcome to DV man.

Yep, this was a DILD and congratulations on your first lucid dream!

Experience has taught me (and many others) that each one tends to get easier than the last, so just keep at it, keep up to date with your dream journal (be it written or text) and keep us posted on your many more lucids to come!

Thanks! I've been thinking about lucid dreaming for so long, but never expected it to feel this good. That place was so calm, so beautiful. The false awakening was awesome too. Yes, i'm writing a dream journal and didn't think it can really help this much. After i woke up, i was so happy i almost cried

This morning i realised i'm dreaming. I felt that awesome lucid dreaming feeling that i can't explain. But i only saw blackness. I guess i should have opened my eyes but i was afraid i'll open my real eyes and wake up. i'm sure i was wrong.
Too bad school is about to start and i can't try LDs anymore. Only on Saturday or maybe Sunday. Or probably one or two MILDs if i'm lucky, but i don't think so.

that's is the best proof, I love when people say that.
yes, it's Lucid Dream, and you can see is beautiful.

      about trying LD with school.
yes, you can have all the LD's you want while in school period.
just get enough sleep, and relax.
the best thing about DILD is that you don't lose any sleep

ok, you will have more LD in time.
I can imagine you will have one tonight , don't ask me why, you know it will happen, you don't have exit
