How close am I? ;-).. WILD

First of all I want to say hi to everyone.
A couple of days I got aware that there is something like lucid dreaming as a friend of mine is currently reading a book about it.

So for the last couple of days I was reading a lot in and around this forum.
      DILD:
So I started writing a Dream Journal the last couple of days and RC every 20min-60min (depending on how often I think about it). So I will see when this will eventually pay out.

      WILD.
I've read that for most people this is the hardest. However I wanted to give it a try. Did that during an afternoon nap and before going to bed (I know most people say this is even harder/hardly possible). So I ended up always having the same result. I closed my eyes and while breathing out I counted and while breathing in I say "I'm dreaming" so like "1-I'm dreaming, 2-I'm dreaming ... I was wearing earplugs and obviously I wasn't moving, tried to relax and this stuff. So eventhough you hear your breath louder while wearing earplugs after a certain amount of time (sometimes this was already as I reached 40-I'm dreamin" sometimes three-times as long, I couldn't hear my breath anymore, however in my chest I could still feel, that I was breathing. As soon as I move just an inch I can suddenly hear my breath again. While not hearing my breath it then usually takes some time and my body starts shaking. There are two ways. Either I just seem to lose it or I keep shaking and I feel a bigger preasure building up in my chest (I'm still not really sure if it feels like I'm soffocating or if I do have too much air in my lungs). So it all ends with me having to breath out heavily and I can hear my breath again. Doing a RC after this confirms that I'm not dreaming. So, how close is this :-/?

In general I have another question. What happens (for those of you who had WILDs) if you don't manage to WILD? Do you just fall a sleep while trying or do you have to quit and just settle and "go to bed". Because for me there is no way to fall a sleep while (keeping WILDing) and keeping my mind awake. So at some point I have to decide to give it up and go to sleep.

Many thanks for your replies in advance!

Thank you very much. I was very interested in an answer to that!

I tried to WILD last night, my first attempt.

I felt like a weight had settled on my body and then i began drifting in and out of random scenes in my head. I got really excited everytime i realised what was happening and they faded away and i was fully concious once again I've since been told not to focus on the random scenes and to just let them pass through my mind because I was entering the transition stage.

In trying WILD, i found i could move SLIGHTLY without it affecting me at all, for example i could swallow or sniff, so I don't know why your breathing affects you so much, maybe because it's all your concentrating on? Try saying and concentrating on "I will Reality Check and become Lucid" - works for me (:

Nothing happened on my attempt and I must have just fallen asleep naturally.
It was just a dream Hermione! Can you control what you dream about?
