      Question Into

Ok so I wanted to do a quick intro, my names Tara, I'm 27 and I feel like I'm loosing control of my sleep states and it's scary. It's random and for me I can feel it coming on it gets very loud suddenly and then it's like I'm stumbling around my own room trying to find my legs this is the part the feels so scary . It takes me a moment to remember to breath and try and calm down after that I can see myself on my bed and everything is a bit foggy but I can see it everything the tv show that's on the clock this morning I watched the time change. I hate the panic and I hate that I seem to have zero control to keep this from happening . Sometimes I just panic and it's like I'm begging myself to open my eyes and I it's getting hard to to tell if I'm really awake or not. Is there anyway to stop it or control it so I don't feel so out of control? I hate going to sleep at night because I never know what's going to happen anymore.

Welcome to dreamviews. I don't know if lucid dreaming would be all that good for you if you're having trouble differentiating dreams and wakefulness. However, the opposite may be true. Regardless, I'd see a professional before continuing.

Welcome to Dreamview! It sounds to me like you are just experiencing SP. It is very common, but it effects people differently. SP can definately be freaky as well. I myself have had this extreme increase in sound and feeling of dread. You are within the first stages of WILD and it sounds like you are a natural. Which is a good thing. Here is a little info on it: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=65425

The loud noise is only a hallucination as is the rest of it. This is common. I suggest trying to remain as calm as possible, think to yourself: "It is ok, its only a hallucination. I cannpt be harmed." While this is going on I suggest doing some reality checks (http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=75427). This can help determine whether you are dreaming or not. I suggest the nose pinch reality check. If you aren't sure whether you are dreaming or not, pinch off the air passage way in your nose (basically, pinch your nose shut), then attempt to breathe through your nose. If you can still breathe through your nose, even though it is pinched closed, then you are dreaming! Now, you will be aware that you are dreaming (lucid). Feel free to explore and do whatever your heart desires . Good Luck to you! Hope I helped a bit!

Reality Checks will help her determine between dreaming and waking life! She just needs some advice from Doctor Yoshi
