      Talking Hello Everyone

      Hello all,

My name is dalziel, I've experienced lucid dreams quite a few times before. Having recently experienced a couple more, i've decided that it's time to really take this seriously.

I've joined this forum so that I can really go for being a successful and recurrent lucid dreamer. Lucid dreams, quite simply, blow my mind away and i'm very excited to start getting involved - i've got my dream journal ready, the dream journal software on the computer downloaded, and most importantly of all - a compfy bed. I'm sure I can benefit from the wealth of experience here.

A few personal tasks i've set to get the ball rolling this week are:
      1. To have a WILD (I normally have DILD's and a little success with DEILD's after that.)
      2. To see myself in a mirror.
      3. Have a conversation with a DC (This always amazes me.)
      4. To pay attention to my Body (for some reason I don't think I ever see it.)

Hope to see you guys all soon, and with that, i'm off to go dreaming!

P.S, If theres any other newbies that might what to pair up and struggle to lucid dreaming success together give us a shout.

Well if you want to be able to push through with other people as a team check out the DV Academy soon to be up and running.

It's good to see you so enthusiastic. Have you read these tutorials? They should help loads. http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=62769

DV conversations are fun. Use the search bar for the DCs say the Darndest Things thread for a fun read.

Keep us updated. Will you be starting an online dream journal for us to read?

I don't know about the online dream journal, as some of my main reasons for lucid dreaming might not be a good idea to publish to the public. Cryptic I know, but yes it's not really possible. I might think about it if there is enough information left to make it interesting, but my priorities are quite solid. However, I did try a certain WILD technique last night, which is listed on this site and it was quite simply amazing. It was the final piece in perfecting an approach i've struggled with for years. I attempted it straight from going to bed, no attempt to catch a REM cycle at all. I pretty much "slammed" into the sleep paralysis from out of the blue, it really was a slam - very intense. I was so excited that a technique worked so well, I couldn't stay calm enough to continue (my heart was beating so hard!) so I stopped happy with the progress I had made. Will be attempting again tonight knowing what to expect now. I've had a few drinks though, I don't know if its a good idea to attempt with alcohol, but hopefully it will be only just enough to relax me. I never expected to make progress that well, but I think not desiring anything is a massive advantage in this way. Exciting stuff. Will let you all know of my progress. Looking forward to you all sorting out the dream academy.
