      Smile New here

      Hi,

I just finisihed creating my account here and thought I'd post a little something. I'm currently 15 y.o.a and I'm getting pretty interested in lucid dreaming. I was shocked a couple of days ago when I first read about the possibility of controlling your dreams. It's a truly exciting concept for me and I cannot wait til I experience my first lucid dream. I used to get alot of nightmares when I was younger and could remember them with great detail. Today thankfully, the nightmares are less often. But I still dream alot and remember alot of them. Heck I remember dreams from way back, they were just so badass lol. Dismorning for the first time I recorded what happened during my dream last nght and went into quite some detail (got a bit carried away I think). Is The fact I can remember these dreams so well a good sign for my dreams of lucid dreaming? Are there any particiular techniques that I should use to get started? I have my end of year exams on next week so perhaps lifes a bit stressful at the moment to try and become lucid in a dream? Any advice would be greatly appreciated Really great site here. Loads of info and what looks like plenty of helpful people. Looking forward to your replies.

It's alright a mod will move it back to where it should be soon - hopefully/

Lucid dreaming is great once you learn how to do it.
Hint - start a dream journal. Work on understanding when you are dreaming vs awake. Recording your dreams will help you get to dreaming consciously and not unconsciously like in normal dreaming.

There are a lot of helpful people here, so I hope you enjoy it here

Hayden I think you might be hijacking this person's thread, but I have heard from my friend that you can take things to bed with you and they show up in the dream. I'm new at this and I only heard from one friend, so I'm not sure. He took a stick with him because he was having dreams about being in a jungle fighting tribal people, though he had no weapon. The stick went with him, and he was able to beat on the tribal people in his dream! And I heard this story 6 or 7 years ago!

To the OP, I believe you should wait until your exams are over. I just submitted my master's thesis last monday, and what a sigh of relief that was. Now I can focus on the LDing. Do your dream research in your spare time, if you have any, and then attempt the LD when you can afford to lose sleep (for whatever reason).
