Unhappy I have a question about recognizing dream signs

What happens if you don't catch any of your dream signs? I just started remembering my dreams last night (I have VERY odd ones) and I did not catch anything that might have been a dream sign. (unless one of my dream signs is a centaur... Or a multicolored plushie in the shape of a voodoo doll) I'm just having trouble recognizing what dream signs are...

From what I understand, a dream sign is something that is consistent throughout most, if not all of your dreams. Like, for instance, if in every dream, you have a purple dog singing a song in a top hat and cape, you can probably say it's a dream sign.

And I feel your pain, bro. I'm just starting out myself, trying to locate mine. They're elusive though, it's like playing a game of where's waldo? XD

Most dream signs take up to weeks to figure out what they are. Be patient and watch for every little detail that repeats. I, for instance, have just figured out one of my dream signs, malls. Yes, malls. A lot of my dreams take place in a mall or department store of some sorts.

Keep trying and don't give up!

Actually, a dreamsign can be anything you recognize as being abnormal, and get Lucid from. Or even something you notice as dreamlike, but still don't get Lucid because you don't really believe it's a dream, and forget to RC.

But it's really nice when you find things that are common enough, that you can recognize them repeatedly.

You just have to always be questioning everything, until you start thinking about it in your dreams.

My experience is that dreamsigns change during the time. Say about periods of 6 months to a year. When you can recall 2 dreams a night you will discover a few dreamsigns within 2 weeks. And after a longer time you find more patterns in your dreams.

Good luck and let us know when you found one.

You don't NEED to know your dream signs, I don't know any of my unique dream signs and my dreams are realistic but I still become lucid about once a week from strange events in my dreams.
