      Strange Dream

      Hey,

I'm quite new to lucid dreaming, but a few days ago I think I had one. I just used the DILD method and told myself before falling alseep that I would know that I was dreaming. What I can remember is the first time, I realised it was a dream is when I had a book in my hands, a book I knew, and there were two people with doctor outfits standing in front of me. I didn't RC, but I just knew that this had to be a dream, I got excited and it stopped.

The second time however I told myself in the dream to stay calm and try to do normal things, like explore the surroundings, and it worked I had quite a long dream and I did things like flying and stuff, I also told myself to look at my hands several times and they were very clear to look at. When I woke up I remembered the dream, though it seemed very far away.

So I wanted to ask if that's usual, that it seems vague and far away even if you remember it quite detailed.

In my 1 and only lucid dream, it was EXTREMELY vivid. Unfortunately all I thought to do was try to fly, which led to an FA. This is why I am now a firm believer in WBTB, so you can turn the logic center of your brain on ;P
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

Ha ha ! I can see that you guys would like to fly in a LD which is one of my favorite things to do.But some times it's hard to sky rocket at first and here is a little trick I use to get into flying mode.I first try to get my legs in the air with my body still being in an upright position (like sitting in a chair with your legs stretch out) then I start to swing with my hand so I can get higher and higher. After that is a piece of cake and I can be superman or a fighter jet.Try it sometimes if you can and tell me if it works for you !! If this fails you can always try to jump from a building !!

I don't think it's unusual at least. When I've had an elaborate lucid dream I often recall it as if it were a distant memory, even though it did occur recently. It's very odd.

Yeah exactly that's what I had, I knew it had happenend, I could recall it in detail, but it was like a distant memory.
