About me: Before I found this website, dreams interested me. I only remembered having some scattered dreams in the past specifically, although they obviously were never lucid. Over the past week, I have had dreams night after night, and, realizing they were important, wrote them down in an agenda to remember them.

Just yesterday, I decided to learn more about dreams, and I found this website after using google. I realized that I have had lucid dreams before, although only twice. Those both occurred years earlier. Both times when I realized I was in a dream-like state, I tried to get out of each dream:

The first dream was because it was a nightmare, and I had to get out. Some kids in the form of FBI agents were after me, my life I believe. I was in some garbage dump. I suddenly realized that they were not real, but I believed I did not stand a chance against them, or the control to be the master of the situation, and wanted to avoid conflict. Gathering my will, my view was diverted to third person, and I shouted to the sky, "GOD, GET ME OUT OF THIS DREAM!" as my view of myself distanced. I woke up right afterwards.

For the other dream, the reason that I was attempting to force myself awake was because I knew I was in a car, sleeping in a chair, on my way to a soccer game, which was not too far away at that point. My dream body focused onto my seated body, as if I was trying to join with my physical body of real life. Also, since I could not talk and barely move my muscles, I knew I was dreaming. Mustering my will, I slowly lifted my right arm trying to make my right forefinger to touch my forehead. For some reason, I knew that process would wake myself up. After struggling for several minutes, I finally got my forefinger to touch my forehead, and I woke up.

I haven't had much success with lucid dreams since then. However, this website sparkles me with hope, now that I realized that it is possible to have lucid dreams more frequently. Yesterday, viewing this website, I saw that you have several dreams per night, 4-5 dreams for the average sleeper, and that you can keep track of them all, after much practice. So last night I practiced remembering the dreams, and had some success, and recorded it in my new Dream Journal:

4:00am - I woke up, realizing that I did have a dream. For some reason, the moment I woke up, I completely forgot what the dream was about, but I believed it to be about some old memories or thoughts.

6:30am - Much longer dream, but never entered lucid state. Arrived at house from somewhere. I went inside, found the dog, got him leashed for a quick walk to do his business, and took him downstairs in the basement for him to do his business. As he was about to mark the wall, I was like "Hey, what am I doing?" laughed at myself, then took him back upstairs, and out the front door. I took him out back, then examined the bird seeder on the porch. There was a dragonfly there. Suddenly, I took the third person view of the dragonfly, and entered an insect world, where I could keep on switching views of the insects. Yes, there was some predator versus prey scenarios, but avoided them by switching to different insects. I even stumbled across an ant labeled "Starting Insect", actually a few of them, and it seemed just normal.

I should have realized that by now, this was a dream, but there was this possibility in mind that I was just playing a video game, taking the view of an insect, and that there were "Starting Insect" non-player characters.

After taking view of a "Starting Insect," A worm attacked, and I took the view of the worm. It turned into a cocoon, and unable to peer away from the "supposed monitor that was not really there," I rapidly pressed the infered A button to hasten the hatching of the butterfly. Yes, soon after the butterfly hatched, and I took its view. It flew me back to the back porch, where the bird seeder was, and saw some strange Pokemon stations which I could not interpret. Guess what happened next? That's right, I became a Pokemon trainer . (Note that I gave up Pokemon a while back)

I somehow got inside again, and bought or gathered seven Dragonballs (look up the TV show Dragonball for more info) and brought them outside. Realizing I got a duplicate, I went in, grabbed the right one, and came back out. I realized my trainer (also note that I am viewing the trainer from the gameboy advance perspective) carried regular dragonballs, while the black star dragonballs (Dragonball GT) were organized on the ground. I realized there were more than seven black star dragonballs on the ground. I looked and noticed that there were trophies of Super-Saiyans with them. I laughed and said "Oh, silly me" and folloiwed by reorganizing them.

My dream ended there because my mom woke me up.

I now hope to encounter more unique dreams, hopefully lucid dreams, so that I can think more logically, which I normally do in real life anyways. My goal for tonight is to enter lucid state during one of the few dreams that I have. Now that is already asking for a lot with so little practice, but as one might say, always set the goal high for oneself to get the best effort. I know resign to bed, G'd night.

Hey its good to meet you man,

It takes time to get logic in your dreams. I'm still struggling with it myself. If you wake up often at 4.00 or early times like that in the morning you should try DEILDing. There's information about it on this site, at tutorials. Its basically that you keep laying still so you reenter the dream, but now you have a big chance to become lucid.
