Apparently my random dreams ACTUALLY have a name...

Hello, just wanted to say hi.

So, my first lucid-ish dream was when I was like 7 or 8 years old.

I woke up in my bunk bed but I could NOT open my eyes now matter how hard I tried. I knew I was in my room, but even though my eyes were closed, I could still see, however, instead of seeing my room, all I saw was a playground filled with kids.
I could get up and walk around, I could feel the walls, the doors, the doorknob, everything, the weird part was that everything I felt wasn't present in my vision, I could not see what I felt. I could hear the kids playing, the wind on me. Everything.

I haven't read anything similar to this, so maybe it has another name?

Second dream, I was sleeping on a couch a few years ago, and the sound of the TV woke me up, and yet again, I could not open my eyes. I was inside a car and in the car were girls that I've dated. I then realized "O snap, i'm in a dream" and as any other wild-hormone'd kid, they all became naked. (Before this though, i was experimenting with stuff, and I was making random things appear, like a beach... just random stuff) Then I woke up from the excitement.

Third dream was 2 days ago, I saw this girl i've never seen before inside my house, and from that, somehow I ended up having sex with her for like 2 seconds, then I woke up

The third dream made me wonder if it is possible to control a dream, so I went on google and looked up control dreams... which then led to Lucid Dreams. And now i'm even more interested in this, today will be the second attempt into going lucid, yesterday I tried to but I ended up just dreaming, I recorded the dream though, really weird.

So, thanks for having this site guys, I'm really interested in Lucid Dreaming.

      First off, to DV!

Cool, you have had lucids before! I would suggest visiting the tutorials section to find a technique that fits you. Pick one and stick with it. It sounds like you have a dream journal, which is good, and is a big step towards lucidity. Remember, if you don't succeed, don't give up. Lucid dreaming takes practice and patience. If you keep up with your RCs and awareness, you shall soon achieve another LD.

      Thanks!

Well, I don't necessarily have a journal, but I started one yesterday. I read something about setting an alarm (which only sounds for 3 seconds) in the middle of the night, wake up but not open eyes OR move... and something about WILD. If it doesn't work then i'll just record my dream.

Does a Lucid Dream really feel like it's REAL? I remember my lucid dreams seemed really really blurry and the colors were really dull.

I keep reading stuff like "Oh I'm able to control fire and stuff", it sounds like a videogame... seriously. Can you actually be conscious and be able to conjure random things at will? Wow.

I can't really tell you from experience, I've only had one LD that lasted for like 3 seconds. But I can tell you what others have experienced. From what I have heard, most LDs are really vivid. If they aren't, you can help it by rubbing your hands, spinning, or just yelling "Increase Clarity!" Things like that

You can do anything you can think up in a LD. Your imagination is your limit.

Yah I was thinking that as i was reading about LDs and since i haven't had a LD that i can remember i will assume that the vividness depends on the person and the dream.

Probably, I guess lucid dreams aren't really common.
