First off I'd like to say hello to everyone. I recently heard about lucid dreams from a friend at school and became interested in them. This website seems to be the best one I've found. Lately I have been working on improving my dream recall, but I have had some problems. Some mornings I can't remember anything no matter how hard I try. I had a good streak of remembering dreams that lasted for about a week, but now I am struggling. I try to write down everything in my DJ, now matter how little I remember. What techniques do you guys use to remember your dreams? |

when you wake up, immediately record your dream(s), dont get up and brush your teeth or take a shower, the first thing you should do is record your dream(s), and if you dont remember them, think for a minute or two. you will probably recall a dream event that occured, or a thought you are feeling. so record that. as you continue doing this, your recall will grow. |

Here's something I threw together about journaling if you're interested in reading one way of recording your dreams: http://www.dreamviews.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=114723 If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. We're always here to help |

I've also found that if I remember a few dream fragments all at once, I can scrawl down short notes about each fragment and then later fill in the details, as well as adding another dream or two. |

Jess has the ultimate answer there, you have to write them down ASAP, as soon as you wake up, make sure you get into the habit of remembering our dreams. FIRST THOUGHT is to remember your dreams, make it second nature. then write them down in your journal. |

Thanks for all the tips. About a week ago I got into a sledding accident and got a moderate concussion. I had some problems remembering things. I was thinking maybe this could have something to do with my sudden lack of recall ability? |

That might be. If that's the case then it should be okay in a short time. Just force yourself to write in a DJ every day. |
