      Welcome to Dreamviews!

      I hope this helps:

LD - a lucid dream, where you know that you are dreaming and can often control the dream to do whatever you want

RC - a reality check, to test if you are in a dream or waking life

DC - a dream character - a fictional person in your dream made up by your subconscious

DILD - a dream-induced lucid dream; a dream in which you are having a regular dream and then realize that you are dreaming. Here's a guide explaining how to do this: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=65032

WILD - a wake-initiated lucid dream, when you stay in bed and go directly into the dream without falling asleep first. Here's a guide explaining how to do this: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=66238

MILD - a mneumonically-induced lucid dream, where you repeat something to yourself (such as "I am dreaming") so that when a dream starts, you will be saying or thinking that phrase and realize that you are dreaming. Here's a guide explaining how to do this: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=65458

DG - your dream guide, who appears in multiple dreams; what exactly this person/thing is nobody really knows (but there are lots of theories), but it could possibly be a reflection of your inner self to help you out

VILD - a visually waking-induced lucid dream. It's a variation of the WILD, only you focus on visualizing the dream scene you want

DEILD - a dream-exit induced lucid dream. It relies on waking up from a dream and then going back into one

Those are the main ones, but for a complete list of absolutely every abbreviation associated with lucid dreaming: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...ad.php?t=71202

Different techniques work for different people, so try out all of them to see which one(s) work(s) best for you.

Feel free to ask about any more that I forgot to mention, or if you have any questions regarding these.
