Dream inside a dream, perhaps a lucid dream :)

      Hello,

I have been now familiar with the term "lucid dreaming" like 10 days. I read the first manuals and decided to start trying harder to recall the dreams, keeping dream journal and do the reality checks. I thought reading the techniques to actual lucid dreaming after some time, because there was just too much information. I did the reality checks with my analog watch, not regularly but when I remembered. As well sometimes just with simple everyday life items (switching on lights, ...).

Today I think I had a lucid dream but I am not sure if its actual because it was a dream inside my dream. I woke up many times during the night because I needed to go to the toilet (the natural way to wake up ). The first half of the night I slept badly and I do not have any memory or feeling that I dreamed at all. Somewhere on the 6th hour of the night I woke up and had a clear dream about random things I put on the light and wrote it into my dream journal, went to a toilet and fell a sleep again thinking a bit about lucid dreaming. In truth I was thinking about the rooster behind my window who did not stop "screaming" and I was wondering if I could use it as giving signals in my dreams: something like "when you hear the rooster but the scenery is not normal then you are dreaming".
Anyway, in the end there was no rooster in my dream but I suddenly remembered about reality checks and I did it in my dream and REALLY the time changed randomly and realized I was dreaming . I have a red analog watch and it was there with me in my dream and every time I checked it the time changed completely. Though sometimes the watch was not there, but I looked again and then it had appeared. I could not change the scenario in my dream but I knew I was dreaming and I had the security that I can do what ever I want now. I wanted to go to my current work office but I could not. I tried to close my eyes and imagine it but it never came. I was going with the flow and doing things in between which I would not do in normal life.
After that lucid "dream" I had (or I remember) another scene with a different story but I am not sure if I was lucid in there.
Then I woke up and was happily telling to my boyfriend about my lucid dream. Also some other random scenes appeared and after that I woke up completely and realized that I had a dream inside a dream. Now I am not sure if it was actual lucid dream. I did realize I had a dream and I could do funny things but I could not jump from one scene to another.

      Isn't it wonderful???

Lucid dreamers experience so many cool things besides just LDs, they have false awakening, nested dreams, all kinds of great experiences!!
you must be the change you wish to see in the world...

      to DV!

Since closing your eyes didn't work out too well, perhaps these couple of suggestions might?

      1) Find a closed door to another "room." On the other side of that door, know that the scene you seek will be there for you to walk into when you open the door.

      Or...

      2) See if you can create a portal. That's how I change scenes in my lucids, is I summon a portal and I can see the new scene I want to step into. Then it's a matter of just stepping through it
