      New dude

Hey all, I had a lucid dream last week that I was kinda in control of, I never had anything like this happen to me before, and I never heard of a lucid dream until last week after doing a google search of dreams. I got such a rush from it! So now I'm here to try to learn how to have it happen again? Nice site!

Welcome to Dreamviews! Please, enjoy your stay with us!

So you accidentally stumbled upon lucid dreaming huh? That's pretty awesome! it's great that you have already had a lucid dream, so you know what it's like! Be sure to check out the tutorial section! You can learn how you can purposely induce a lucid dream!

Also, might I suggest you start a dream journal? If you are unclear what that is, let me explain! In a dream journal, you write down all your dreams that you can remember. They don't have to be from long times ago, but you can start now! It's best to improve on your recall before you do anything. What's the point of having a lucid dream if you can't remember it? There is a forum specifically for dream journals, so if you can't find a spot to put it, there is always one online, here!

Have a great time here! Best of luck to you and your dreams!

      See you around!

      Many thanks!

I will start a journal tonight. I usually remember my strange, or scary dreams, I just tend to forget them, or the details within minutes, to a few hours. But now I understand the importance of keeping a detailed journal.
My lucid dream was about a customer I met for the first time that day, and while I was having my first and only lucid dream, I could hear my TV while I was still semi sleep! So I see this girl again and since I had somehow sensed that I was semi sleeping I went right up to her and kissed her passionately, the feeling was such a rush I woke up within seconds, and it was awesome. A bit of background, I'm far from a teenager at over 40, and married for over 10 years but, it felt so real and I got such a rush because I think I felt I could get away with it.

I've been leaving the TV on every night since with no luck

Anyway I ordered the book "Exploring the world of Lucid dreaming" from Amazon that I should get tomorrow. And I'm thrilled I found this site today. I'm looking forward to reading all the material here!
Thanks again everyone for the welcome!

No problem! It feels good that a 13 year old can give information to someone more than 20 years older than me! Just remember to write down every single thing you can remember about your dreams. Here is some more info. that should help with remembering dreams.

When you wake up, just stay perfectly still. Think about anything that might help you remember your dreams. You should be in a state where you aren't focusing on anything externally, and you will literally feel it when you shake out of that state. Just take your time, and it will come to you! Make sure to replay everything from that dream in your mind. Since your dreams are part of a very short term memory, if you don't exercise the dream, then you will lose it. Just get a habit of this, and things should be great for you

Once again, good luck, and enjoy your stay!
