      2nd night, need some help

So my first night was basically a success as i recorded at least snipets of 4 dreams.

      last night wasnt so successful.
I woke up i think after the 2nd cycle (maybe first) automatically and i had a dream, but when i woke up, i kinda jumped up (dont know how to really describe it) and my mind scatterd and i forgot my dream.

then when my alarm woke me up after my 3rd cycle i had a dream aswell... but when i went to turn my alarm off without thinking, i forgot that dream too....

I know i have to stay still when i wake up, and use what i remember and think what happened before that moment so i can remember as much of the dream as possible.
but usually when i wake up in the morning, i get out of bed, i dont sit in bed like most people for a little.
so my reaction is automatically motion, and this scatters my brain from the dream i just had.

any advice on how to sit still when i wake after a dream?

Maybe try latching on to the topic of the dream. Don't even think about being awake, just focus on the dream until you can solidify what it was about, then get out of bed & write it down.
Edit: Also, try not to open your eyes.

The best way to not get out of bed is to . . . not get out of bed.

If you wake up naturally (no alarm), just lie there as you awaken, remain quiet, and as someone else said, don't open your eyes! Just remember what you were just experiencing (the dream) and then if you can remember a little earlier, and a little earlier. Remember as much of it as you can BEFORE you open your eyes. THEN you can get up and write it down.
