well i think i had a LD but i have a few q's

well last night i dream't i was at school and was discussing stuff and voting on stuff and bam i was like hey im dreaming so i was like guys we are dreaming so we all left the orchestra room and then as i was walking to my locker i spotted my vice principal Mr. Larsen and i remembered that DC's get pissed off if you tell them they are dreaming so i did and he got pissed so then i went to my locker and i said im probably having a false lucid dream

and the weird thing was that in my false LDs i immediately control stuff andi guess i have complete control but no this time im wondering if this was a false LD or real cuz i heard that you can't always control stuff in your LD's and i did not get one bit excited about it im just ok... im dreaming...........

so if someone could tell me if this was real or fake that would be cool

If you knew you were dreaming, then you were Lucid. Control is not a factor. There are no such things as "False Lucid Dreams". You either know you're dreaming, or you don't. Dreaming about Lucid Dreaming is just a normal, non-lucid dream.

Sometimes you can actually dream that you're dreaming, thinking that you're dreaming (when in reality you are) but not actually know for certain that you are dreaming. This is another type of false lucid dream, it's far more annoying than the regular false LD. It seems though that you had some control... this I believe was a lucid dream, next time though really try to do a reality check asap as soon as you say to yourself that you're dreaming! This will give you the control and you will not have any doubts that it is a false lucid.

That makes no sense whatsoever. Again, dreaming about Lucid Dreaming is just a normal dream, none of this false LD crap. The ONLY reason this "term" exist is because some don't know the definition of a Lucid Dream, they have the definition wrong, or they have been told wrong. So once again;

To know you're dreaming while still dreaming = Lucid Dreaming

Dreaming about Lucid Dreaming = Normal dream

Controlling the dream ≠ Lucid Dreaming

I don't think it can be any clearer.

Once Naiya and I post the new sticky addressing this issue, those who have been misguided and are confused like WLLPEREGOY will have things explained in greater detail.

By doing them while awake. Have you read the Reality Check tutorial? Last time I checked it had very good information on how RCs carry into the dream.

My first LD, I got the Friday after checking out this website the wednsday that week. It was because I had more sleep friday. When I had my LD, I knew I was dreaming, but not THAT excited. But oh god amazing in the morning.
