      Spotting Dream Signs.

Have a string of rather freaky dreams last night, really struggling to find my dream signs.

I haven't started a Dream Diary yet, but I will from now on.

Anyway, this is my dream from last night.

      Dream 1

Small, arched white room with a few other people. One person is trapped behind a sheet of glass as they are infected with some sort of virus, and they are trying to get us.

      Dream 2

I go round my Aunt's house, for some reason she is sitting on the sofa crying, so I go over to her. I find her with her body amputated, and her legs coming out from her head instead, she asks for a hug. (This one horrified me for some reason)

      Dream 3

I am somehow sliding down the rails of a theme park ride with my hand (Nemesis - Alton Tower, UK), it is a LOT higher than in real life, I slide down until I reach a fat guy dangling further down, I slide down to him, then climb down his body and drop down to the ground.

      Dream 4

I'm in an airport about to go through the scanning bit, then I see someone from my old school walk past...

      That's all I can remember.

I really do no know how to find these elusive dream sings. -.-

Basically, it's just anything that occurs often in your dreams, a situation, place, person etc. Just write in a dream journal for a couple months and search for how often specific key words come up such as 'bathroom' 'bill', if they come up a lot then they might be a dream sign. There is also a specific forum for typing your dream journals down if that is what you are doing here.

For me, the thing that always happens in dreams is that the phone is impossible to use because there will be more than one of each number, like three 5's or four 7's.

This should be my dream sign, but for some reason it never dawns on me that if the phone is weird like that, I'm in a dream!

A frequent dream sign I somehow usually fail to pick up on, is looking for a bathroom. If I find one there is always something wrong with it! It lacks any privacy or the toilet is disconnected from the floor, or the room is too small, or some other odd thing that makes it unusable or difficult.

Well, traditionally, most people start hunting for dream signs after a dozen or so dreams. I would recommend chapter two of Stephen LaBerge's book, ETWOLD (available online in pdf format), or for $6.00 USD. It really is a fantastic book. Also remember that a dream sign does not have to be a recurring theme or image in a dream. In fact, anything out of the ordinary technically counts as a dream sign! It's how you categorize them that can really help you focus your efforts. Good luck! Quietly protesting the 10 character limit
