      About Dream Recalls.

When they say that you have to be able to remember a few a night, does it mean that you have to remember the dreams you had for the whole week, or remember one dream, then forget it and remember a new one? And what does it mean by "a few a night"? Isn't there only 1 or 2 dreams a night?

4-5 dreams a night, from what i've read here. One for every cycle of REM sleep.

Actually, the average person has around 36 dreams per night. There are a handful of REM periods, but these often get broken up into multiple dreams. And no, you don't have to remember 4 or 5 dreams per night, though it is very nice if you can build up that sort of recall. Generally, though, about one dream per night on average is good enough for lucid dreaming.

Keep a dream journal. Seriously. Just do it. They are truly invaluable. Don't forget your dreams...if you write them down, you won't.

So... we actually have many more lucid dreams as we think we do, we don't remember them?

Eh, but the thing is, I'm always rushing to get everything for school, and when I'm not, I'm too sleepy to do anything, so it's kinda hard to remember my dream for the whole day until I get home..

So get up an extra ten minutes earlier. Even if you just jot down the key points of your dreams, they can bring back the memories later when you actually have the time to write them down in detail.

I've always found that the more I "want it" the more I will remember the dreams. I have to make dreaming a priority in my life. Many people wake up and immediately think about an important part of their day. This instantly kills dream recall. Just wake and instantly, and always, think about your dreams first.
