Thread: do you sometimes remember dreams from long ago just as you are about to fall asleep?

They are probably from the past. I do this more often during the day in an almost nap state than at night. I have remembered dreams from over ten years ago at times. Subconscious memory is quite something.

I remember a few dreams from when I was 6 years old (I'm currently 18). I think it was because these were the turning points in my nightmares. I used to always have dreams of being attacked, taken away from my family, and seeing bad things happen without ever being able to do anything. I remember I would always be screaming in my dream but nobody could ever hear me. These dreams would be happening almost every single night. One dream I remember in particular is when I finally stood up to my fear. I don't know why I still remember this dream but it has always stuck with me as a memory.

I never remember a whole dream or anything, but sometimes I'll get a flash of a dream or nightmare I've had.

Oddly enough, I don't think I remember a single dream from age 13 to 16.
