i've been reading a lot on this site and it just gives me the feeling of excitement to try it out! hopefully, after a few practices, i'll experience my first LD! one question, while in LD, when you try to control everything verbally like "take me to new york", in reality, does your body speak those words as well? i mean, if other people sleep with you in bed, then they'll totally be freaked out hearing you say those words. that would be hilarious!

Good luck with LDing, and about your question no, usually you don't speak them out loud in ''reality'', but It can happen, I talked a lot while sleeping ( at least that's what they said to me )

Welcome to the Community If you are looking to learn more about lucid dreaming I suggest you check out the Tutorials. While you are there, you should check out the Dream Control tutorial. It's pretty interesting. To answer your question, it is possible to say something out loud while dreaming but it is pretty rare so I wouldn't worry about it. I guess it could happen outside REM dreams. If you have any more questions, we'd be more than happy to answer.
