      Question Newbie confused by vibrations...!

Hi everyone.. i'm a newbie on here, however, i have been attempting to lucid dream for a while now and have had a few, only very brief and via the DILD method.

I have been keeping a dream journal for a few months now and have remembered my dreams the majority of nights. However, if i don't write in my journal or repeat my desire to remember my dreams at night, (or if i'm very tired, which has been the case recently) i won't remeber my dreams for a few nights or so. This is understandable and this is the position that i'm in at the moment. I haven't remebered a dream in a couple of days now.

I usually set my alarm at 4 or 5 in the morning to enable me to wake up and remember my dreams, make a few notes then tell myself that "i will recognise the dream state" or something similar, for me to become lucid. I had a successful lucid dream this way last week and was amazing

I did the same thing last night / this morning, no dreams remembered, i only woke up to reset my alarm and try attempt to lucid dream... i usually sleep on my right side, so stayed in this position and relaxed. i was thinking about dreaming and was trying to induce a lucid dream (i can't remember what exactly), very shortly after, i start to hear strange ringing/ buzzing noises... i felt vibrations through my body and i felt as if i was almost in a dream, i could almost see into the dream and felt like i was there.. however, i drew my attention to the vibrations i felt, as it was quite overwhelming and i snapped myself out of where i was possibly going

Sorry for the mini essay... But i was just wondering if anyone could comment on what they believed happened. 2 me, it seems like it was a WILD, but i was only awake for less than a minute and didn't really follow "the method" as i know it. i am also unconvinced due to my poor dream recall as of recent.

Also, if anyone can suggest any ways to help my dream recall to be consistant, it would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your comments

It could have been a WILD. That state when you felt vibrations is called SP (Sleep Paralysis)

About dream recall, I'm in the same situation as you are. I could only suggest enough rest. For these past few days, I stick to the habit of practicing dream recall first, rather than forcibly attempting to have an LD. In my own opinion, it would be easier to LD if you improved your dream recall already.

      Hope that helps
