Hello :) I have a dream I would like to talk about :D

I had a dream that it was night in my house, I got up from my bed, the lights were off. I saw a black butterfly it floated and flew ever so delicately. I tried catching it but couldn't. Then in dream, I'd remembered that my ex's mom said when she saw a black butterfly it meant death of someone. However, in my dream the butterfly flew through my house. I followed it. I stopped because when I got to the hallway, I saw a ghost. I could see him clearly. He was bald, white, and tall. He looked angry. I didn't like him there, so I told him to leave, but he didn't. So finally I walked to the kitchen where I saw a huge giant shadow of a ghost by the front door. It was then, the I was fatefully woken up. Any meaning to the dream?

[COLOR="Lime"]ps. Someone told me that it was a dream made by 'dark magic' and said "The activity will take you into the presence of someone empowered by anger-hatred (of you). "- their exact words. It's really negative. It scared me...

They Said:Evidently you have been involved in occult activity. witchcraft/ ouija board, etc. there is a lot of stuff ou there.
The butterfly is from the dark side. You have dabbled with something, but it is not what you think it is. Black does represent death and the absence of Gods Light (JESUS) .
Because it is a butterfly, it has two forms: a previous form of a worm, the second is the butterfly who got its life from the worm.

The activity will take you into the presence of someone empowered by anger-hatred (of you).
The door is a symbol of what you let in to your "spiritual" house, ie. you. -your being, mind, heart.

however I don't believe that's the right answer for my dream! Can you please help me?

      Thanks a lot!

      Misha!

I take a less mystical approach to dream interpretation. What you dwell on/think about/are bothered by in your waking life tends to come up in your dreams. That's about it.

A couple of questions: are you religious/spiritual? Is the occult/mysticism/happy-go-lucky earth-based religions something you think about a lot?

You went into the dream already knowing that some people, such as your mother, see a black butterfly as a portent of death. So I'm seeing either:
      A) You thought black butterflies were pretty, and then remembering what they might represent, had your happy-dream about pretty black butterflies ruined, or
      B) You were actually worried about someone dying/getting hurt when you went into the dream, and you used the black butterfly, subconsciously, to explore your fear.

Either way, I think that when you remembered the "BB = DEATH" equation, you got freaked out. Because you were scared and thinking about death, your subconscious went "Ah! Death! Ghosts! Ghosts are scary!" and ghosts started popping up in your dream.

So, you can consider why the black butterfly showed up in your dream to begin with, but the rest of the dream, in my opinion, is just the natural progression of a nightmare. Don't worry about it overmuch.

Also, you're the only one who can interpret your dreams, in the end. If people are trying to freak you out with their religious opinions, you don't have to listen to them. And if random people on the dreamviews forum (ie: me) are way out of line, you don't have to listen to us, either.

Black does represent death and the absence of Gods Light (JESUS)
God, but people like that annoy me. Way to be helpful, right?

I can be a worrier! But it was just such a weird dream.... Well it was my ex's mom. I remember thinking of what she told me, in the dream about how she saw butterflies. I saw the ghost after that too. It was weird TT_TT

Ah, I misread, sorry. Yeah, dreams can be weird, and I know the feeling of them sticking with you. And I know the feeling, needing to talk about it. In real life, I end up having conversations like:

Me: So, I had a dream where I was the devil. What do you think it means?
      Friend: Wut.

Yeah. To your dream: Well I think your mind might be exploring different views. The mind and spirit work in different ways. I believe sometimes we explore many different places and people. Some people dream exploring their minds and souls, while other people go to other places or explore other people.
And I know, I have the need to ask. Because I have such different dreams at times. Sometimes I will start a dream and finish the dream with in a month. It's just weird.

Hey thanks! You're the first person to actually give me an opinion on that. Although honestly, I think it's because I just read through a series of comics wherein he was the main character.

I'd definitely fall into the former category, exploring my own mind and all that.

Really? It's rare for me to actually finish a dream. Sometimes I'll revisit similar situations and places (whoa, deja vu), but once I've woken up from a dream, that's more or less it. At which point, I say, "Yes, but HOW DOES IT END?" Frustrating.

Yeah. My dreams go on in series. But when I first have one, I think now what happens, and then I dream the continuing dream next time. Yeah but I believe dreams represent:
      A) What's on your mind from the moment you sleep or deeeeeep in your conscience.
      -your insecurities
      -your wishes
(Basically maybe that more material and emotional)

      B) Searching your soul, similar to a state of meditation.
      -trying to know yourself
-trying to find something with in yourself
(It's more of the matter of "you".)

      C) Searching someone else's soul
      - Maybe you don't trust the person
      - You want to know who they are
(It's a matter of your 'connection' to them. And what it really is.")

      D) You spirit is going other places (astral projection)
      - Often, it has been said many people's spirit's wander around this planet or other worlds when the body is asleep. They say you can travel to the past of the future. It's really based on how comfortable you and your body are.

Because I have had so many weird experiences... that is why I believe what I believe.
Not to sound weird, but I read a lot on dreams. And am very spiritual.

Your dream: You must have connected yourself to that character somehow. It will show a better knowledge of what's on your mind, how you relate to it, and perhaps who you are.
