Thread: Hey all

Hey, I joined a group on FB about waking up during a good dream and not getting it back, then I remembered the term lucid dreaming and searched it and found your website. At first I thought u guys were crazy and thought I'd never visit the site again But this morning after falling asleep unwanted last night I thought I'd try the WILD thing. It was the wierdest feeling ever. It felt as if I was completely paralyzed. I just dont understand what to do after that step. I will try it again tonight when I'm tired because I already got my full amount of sleep.

Before I go, I'm really curious as to what it is when you are super exhausted and tired and you begin falling asleep (perhaps lucid dreaming!) and in your dream you miss a jump or something and begin to fall in your dream then you suddenly wake up trying to stop yourself from falling. Its like your hold body jolts and then you're awake. I can remember these things happening and I can kind of remember being able to control where I walked but its not like I was aware I was LDing because I don't purposely fall I guess you could say.

Anyways I'm really glad I joined these forums.

LDs are a pretty unbelievable experience and until you have had one it can be hard to comprehend just how crazy, realistic, epic, etc, they can be.

As for the jerking you are referring to, it could be a hypnagogic jerk. It also could simply be the sudden rush of emotion (fear) just before falling to your death (hitting the ground). A mass rush of emotion can throw your from a dream instantly. This jerk would be you breaking from SP and performing the jolt/flinch/jerk that most you would perform just before hitting the ground from your fall.
