      I finally did it

So a couple of days ago I woke up around 7am to go to the bathroom, and then ended up laying in bed for two hours trying to get back to sleep. Then suddenly I felt my whole body start to tingle and started seeing what appeared to by my bedroom "loading." I got excited and ended up waking myself up.

This morning, I woke up around 7am again to go to the bathroom and laid in bed again for some time before getting back to sleep. Again my body started to tingle all over and I started seeing images. Again I was excited and woke myself up, but this time I managed to stay relaxed and started to sleep once more.

This process repeated itself a number of times this morning, and I remember that the third time I tried to move. This caused the tingle to become more intense. I was able to move my finger a little bit, but shortly this caused me to break out of sleep.

Still I continued to go in and out of sleep. My best guess is that it happened around 8 times before I finally, truly, went to sleep until waking up to my alarm clock. The main thing I was doing in my dreams is learning how much influence I could have on them.

I was walking around some moderately big city with my best friend following me around and I was influencing things (and people) enough to move them around, but not much else. I was also walking through walls (with some difficulty), and the rest I don't really remember. That and it feeling like trying to blank my vision was what allowed me to enter the dream state, and it had to be the right timing: not too soon and not after completely falling asleep.

But I finally learned what it is like to be in a dream and possibly how to enter one in a situation like mine, and to not get so excited that I wake up anymore. The best closest to a lucid dream I've had before this point is just having some influence on a stress dream: wanting things to go better and then they sometimes do.

So I'm guessing that I was repeatedly WILDing this morning, correct?

It seems to me like I was able to teach myself to enter the dream state directly from laying down, like I can feel when my brain started to enter sleep and then force myself in the door while the room is still being prepared.

I remember before this that I would commonly be interrupted immediately before falling to sleep at night (because I live in a dorm and people make noises randomly) and have learned from these experiences what it feels like to be near sleep, and I think why I couldn't just WILD right there is because my brain was not at the proper time to start dreaming, so have I been unknowingly training my brain to WILD?

Is it normal to feel sleep paralysis as my entire body tingling? This is what it has felt like every time I started to have a WILD, and I read that the feeling of sleep paralysis often varies each time.

Basically, yes. The feeling you do feel of tingling is in fact SP. It is hard to determine any specific effects of SP, but common effects do include tingling, buzzing sounds, ringing of the ear, etc.
Check out the tutorials thread for any other info you might need.
Btw, just making sure, but just so you know the effects of sleep paralysis is called Hypnagogic Images, Hallucinations. Often they are presented in the form of an acronym as is many other things. HI, and HH.
