introducing me ~bereavement councelling through L.d.~

[b] hi im angeleyes (ali) Basically i came here because I told myself to? does that sound weird? I have been having lucid dreams for as long as I can remember but never really knew others had this ability. Most of my familly think im crazy when i explain my ability. The rest of my familly (although adopted) dont even dream in colour! I sometimes think my level of lucidity is dangeros though because im getting to a point where id rather be asleep. More controll in my dreams than in life. Lucidity helped me get over relatives deaths. I can just go and be with them in my sleep. I have total controll in my dreams and whil;e not All of them are lucid I do have quite alot. Ive never really discovered what use in waking life apart from being able to spend time with lost loved ones. my l.ds have so went on google looking to see if someone could help me. My mum thinks im strange as she doesnt understand. Im also interested in delving into past life regressions as Im sure these are playing a HUge part in my dreams . Is this possible? can someone i.m or email me if they can help me through this world.

Or I could post a reply right here Welcome to DV, btw.

It seems to me like you're simply having a hard time seeing the good parts of waking life. For me, the reason I enjoy dreams so much is the contrast that they have with real life, and I see dreaming almost as a reward for making it through another day of real life. I know where you're coming from and believe me when I say life does get better. If you want to talk about anything, feel free to send me a message.

It's always nice to have another natural LDer here. Do you just simply know your dreaming or are there certain triggers you use to become lucid? It's not uncommon for people to think that lucid dreaming is wierd, since chances are they haven't had one themselves. You've found your way to a community of dreamers now, so feel free to share your thoughts and ask questions.

As for past life regression, I will say I'm a disbeliever because of my spiritual background. I'd be skeptical about them, also, is they just seem to me another set of images the subconscious shows you rather than opening a window in time. That's just my view, though.

I hope you enjoy your stay here

yeah thanks star. No Im totally naturall Lder I know im dreaming straight away. It is great because it can be fun I often had really bad nightmares at the age of about 4/5 and I dont know how I learnt it I just remember having a really bad dream and telling myself I want to wake up, and I did, later at about 8 or 9 I realised if I can wake myself up I must know im dreaming and started to experiment inside my dreams like if i was being chased by a monster Id change it to something else as time passed my ability grew and grew and now i have utter controll.I really want to find a use for my ability though other than just to have fun/play out scenarios etc so thats why I used it to try and get over my sister in law/ grandad and dads deaths. Its strange though because if someone is ill i always get a sign in my dreams that there going to pass - normally I see a type of heart monitor flat lining and not long afterward (matter of days in 2 cases) it happens. (freaky isnt it) I dont have any other psychic ability other than that and I cant ever dare use that ability- people thought i was completely mental when at 9 i told them my grandad would die the next day. And it REALLY upsett them (he was sick though and in hospital so maybe im just dreaming of the inevetable) other than that i want to learn how to use my dream to help everday life in somewayor maybe even look into the spiritual side of things I have had 2 OBEs so am wanting to delve realy deep. hoping im at the right place. thanx star x

I've also been wondering about using LDs for spiritual development. As for how to go about it, it's really based on what you want to get out of it. As for myself, being a Christian, I think it would be interesting to examine my life while in the dream state to see what kinds of things I need to work on. I also want to work on interacting with people better (as I'm rather introverted) so maybe I can do it in a "controlled environment." As you were saying, dreams can be a great place to reconcile with the idea of lost loved ones.

The world of dreaming has, in general, been largely unexplored. Granted there are societies that place a heavy emphasis on dreams, but in this day and age the majority of people are ignorant of what can be done. That's why places like this are great for those people who are wanting to tap into this "resource." If you'd like to talk further, I'd be willing to share my views with you and vice versa. See you later!
