      Hey, all!

      Hey all!

I used to be very interested in lucid dreaming in the past, yet I was much younger than I am now, four years younger, to be exact. I had an account here and was very anxious to "get to the good stuff" so I neglected mastering dream recall and other long term useful things.

Recently, my interest has been rekindled in this topic and I would like to be back. I could not log into my old account because I forgot the password. When I looked at my old posts, I was glad that I forgot it because that was just embarrassing. I never used capitalization and apostrophes, so that made my posts annoying and again, I didn't want to do anything basic and just get quick and easy ld's. not this time. I have resolved to improve my recall first, and possibly get in the habit of RCing.

I am glad to be back and by the way, the site looks great.

I do have one question that I didn't know where to put. When I wake up in the morning and am just kind of laying there, half asleep, what are the things I see? I wouldn't call them dreams, yet I wouldn't call them daydreaming. They really resemble dreams, yet I don't think they are dreams because I am fully aware of my surroundings and hear every noise around me. Hell, i spent like a half hour yesterday trying to find out if the person sitting by me telling me stories of a distant past was a DC or just my grandma that flew here from Ukraine. (she really does live in Ukraine)

Alright guys, I'm off to sleep and hopefully get lucid.

Haha nice one, I can relate! I'm not sure if there's a name for that, apart from the vivid hallucinations/dreams you get while in sleep paralysis.

I'm not sure that it was hallucinations in SP, because I had woken up and stirred in my bed for a while before stopping and laying still again. I mean maybe it was, because i didnt try to do any RCs or do anything else

I am pretty sure... again, I didn't do any reality checks and didn't move in the dream. I guess it could have been, but i heard sounds around me from real life...

And by the way, it should be welcome back to DV

      You are right!!! Sorry

      Welcome back to DV

Sound from waking life might mix and blend in a dream. You probably had a false awaking while blending real life sounds in your dream. Without proper RC is almost impossible to know except if you recall more than one awakening or you awake in other place than were you felt asleep previously.
