So I've been a member for a while, but never had the drive to really try lucid dreaming beyond trying to WILD before going to sleep (lol, I know that's not how it's supposed to be done). But anyways, I got as far as the threshold/ sleep paralysis but can never stay awake. I don't know why, one minute I'm focusing on my thoughts etc, the next I wake up later. I've even performed some reality checks upon waking up and it always turns out I'm awake. Anyways, I was wondering how one is supposed to keep their mind awake while the body is sleeping and, since I've decided to try the CAT method now, any advice would be helpful. For instance, for reality checks I mostly just check my clocks I have close by, like the one on my cell phone or computer, maybe this isn't extensive enough? Thanks. |
