      Thumbs up The Truth

      Hey everyone!

Xiper here, its been a while but im back! Anyway I made this post to answer something that I think many new LDers really Really want to know

When anyone of us first started learning to Lucid Dream (LD) one of the biggest questions we all want answered yet cant find the answer to is "Is Lucid Dreaming real" and "Does it feel real"?

Well I can tell anyone right now that Lucid Dreaming IS real

But as for how it feels or how real it feels (How much like real life do LDs feel) im hopeing Dream View veterans will post here and give new dreamers some hope!

Depending on how vivid the dream is, it can feel like a fuzzy movie or life.

What do you mean "is real"? Real what? Pardon me, if, in my studies of Plato, I understand that one cannot predicate existence--a violation of grammar.

And as far as "The Truth" the word "the" requires a common context, it is a pointer to something from which an abstraction can be made in common.

Be all this as it may be, lucid dreaming may indeed be a place in which the modification of human behavior can be attained.

Look, Many new dreamer want to learn to become lucid while dreaming but they are held down by societies idea that things that are abstract or different mostlikely are not real, or not as great as they are promoted (such as if "Magic" is real. Some think it is, some do not. The truth is never shared). I only looked to help new dreamers by awnsering this question (or help to awnser) and all you do it ridicule my grammar?

I also am a bit confused by the question. Do you mean, dream life vs. reality? Most people associate the term "real" with the physical world. Dreams are not usually considered "real", therefore are often dismissed in the impact it can have on us.
However, I think dreams are real, in that they can have a powerful impact on us, on our lives, and on our behavior. During dreams we explore aspects of ourselves that we do not, or cannot, explore in the physical realm. Sometimes we might lucid dream just for our own amusement, but other times there is a serious problem or issue, and dreaming about it helps us come up with solutions or guidance on how best to deal with it.
I view dreaming as a complement to life, rather than a separate reality from it.

      *Hope*

Lol anyway, I thought at first you meant "Is lucid dreaming real" as in, is it scientifically possible, which most of know yes. I guess that what you actually mean is... umm, is it really real? Well it's happening in your brain I suppose, and which it does make it feel real.

Of course there are those who experience hypnagogia and swear that it's real, (by real I mean physically outside the brain) and they swear by it because it was all too real. But whether or not it is real, it's all just functioning in what can make dreams feel like it's actually happening.

The feeling of a pinch, may feel the very same, dreaming or not, it's all just brain chemistry.

      Oh and welcome back

Haha, I think everyone is over thinking this... As of now this post has 81 views. "I" know lucid dreaming is real (Possable) and as for how it feels, well... im still learning myself but never the less I only wanted "NEW" people to be able to see that it is Possable.

I know this sounds weard but think of it this way... you hear the term "Lucid Dreaming" while watching tv. You wonder what it is so you google it and find this site. You read the main page but you dont know for sure if this is a scam or your thinking "Doing things in your dreams, that cant be real".

I only posted this so people could strate out see other people that have had LDs saying infact "This is real"

Sy for any confusion, I just know that this was something I wondered when I first joined... no one was just there to tell me "No man this isnt a jip..its real"

      P.S. Ty for the welcome

Lucid dreams can feel just as real as your waking life. Sometimes, they can seem even more real. Your dreams seem to respond to your attention and focus. If you are focusing on your senses, you can push them beyond normal levels of reality. There is really no limit to your vision, or hearing, or sense of touch in a dream.

Of course, there are fuzzy and poorly remembered lucid dreams, just as with normal dreams. They come in all sizes.

Yep, it feels totally real. The problem I have, is the memories seem to fade fast. With real life memories, you have reminders that help lock the memories into long term. You have photos from your vacation, people with which you can reminisce. Dreams have little connection to the real world, so it is easy to let them slip away. You're dealing with imaginary people and imaginary places that don't often link up with your daily experiences.
