Lucid Dreaming is the next step...

      Hey everyone,

I am new to registering with this forum, but have been following it for a few weeks. I watched the movie "waking life" and that turned me onto the concept of a LD. I read about MILD and WILD techniques, and gave it a try about a month ago... I was up for hours repeating "this is a dream" and counting, until finally around 5am I began to fall asleep... the next thing I know I was overcome by a huge sensation and I was in a classroom, I wanted to verbalize "this is a dream" but felt paralyzed... I was overwhelmed and woke up. I think I was almost there... I am an extremely philosophical person who studies the brain - this is beyond interesting for me. I would love if anyone could give me some tips on what their favorite methods are... I typically have trouble remembering my dreams.

Thanks and see you all around

EDIT: I have recently downloaded Ninja's Lucid Dreaming 3.0 subliminal / binaural track... Will try it tonight!!!

      Good luck with the subliminal!

I recommend you to start a dream journal and jot down your dreams. Even if you remember a fragment of your dreams, a feeling or an image, just write it down and you will see improvements in time

      Welcome to DV!
The most important method around in my opinion is DEILD. Its a great "backup system" to help you return to your lucid dreams after waking up prematurely. That method isn't really a primary way to get lucid-- you'll find your own way to become lucid. Its different for everyone. Personally, I just use DILD and DEILD these days. If I wake up early in the morning, I might have a go at a lazy WILD.
