Thread: hello hello (:

So I found this website randomly and ended up reading just about everything. Originally I was just going to lurk and not sign up, but I had my first almost-lucid dream sort of thing last night and I decided I had to tell someone!

I skimmed some topics on WILD and when I couldn't fall asleep last night, I tried to recall some techniques and figured they would help me fall asleep. I read somewhere that you should begin by laying straight and still, and eventually you'll go into sleep paralyzation- I'm not sure, I couldn't remember much so I kind of adapted. So I'm laying there, relaxing, concentrating on my breathing, not really expecting much, just wanting to go to sleep when all of a sudden this wave of- I can't even explain it, like motion or spinning or something, came over me. So I'm like holy crap, what's going on, my body is going out of control.

It was frightening but really exciting, and I kept trying to calm myself down otherwise I'd come out of it. Then I could feel my eyes, while closed, flickering back and forth like REM, really freaking fast and intense and I couldn't control it. The whole time I was thinking "OHMYLORD i cannot wait to tell my mom, she's never going to believe me!"

I think I got too excited and eventually "came back" from it and opened my eyes and looked at the clock, so I know I was awake and not dreaming it. Does this sound crazy? Anyone have any similar experiences?
