      Smile My First Lucid

      Hey Dreamviews,

      Last year I got into lucid dreaming after I had a lucid without knowing what it was. I got really into the subject of lucid dreams, but I never had another one, and after three months of trying.

      I decided to start again two weeks ago just for the hell of it, and now I'm proud to announce that I had my first lucid since joining dreamviews!

      I can barely remember it at all though. I didn't remember it when I first woke up at all, the only reason I remember I had one is because I did a nose breathing reality check.

      All I remember from it is that I kept doing nose breathing RC's because they felt so funny and I began flying around.
      High fives all around!
      My Goals:
      Have a Lucid Dream [X], Beat up a DC [ ], Fly [X], Have 50 entries in my Dream Journal [ ]

      I wanna congratulate you for that. I am still having a hard time having one. But I keep on trying and recording any normal dreams.

      I started my dream journal two weeks ago.
      I've been writing down my dreams every morning when I wake up, and I've been doing reality checks throughout the day to make sure I do them in my dreams.

      Do you have a good technique for when to reality checks? I've been doing them during the day every time I notice something remotely strange, but in my dreams I tend to just accept everything.
      Like two nights ago, I had a dream that my school had an assembly. In hell. And I was lying in my bed in the middle of the space with my girlfriend, and teachers kept giving us dirty looks because we were in a bed.
      How could I not have known that was a dream?
