I've already started dream checks and it's only my third day of knowing about lucid dreams. You will probably never be able to recall every dream you've ever had because you have so many dreams each night, I say start now!
Today someone told me something helpful about DC's (dream checks) ask yourself am I awake, and then prove that you are, not just trying to count your fingers or look at a clock really think about it!
Read through some of these (particularly the ones that catch your eye): http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...splay.php?f=25
At least do the DILD, Dream Content, Dream Control, Dream Recall, Dream Signs, Dream Stabilizing, DV dictionary, Flying Tutorial, and Lucid dream Induction thing
I know it's a lot but some of it is very interesting and helps you feel prepared for your first Lucid!

      thanks charm
i've been reading about alot of things and have been taking down notes in my dream journal that catch my eye in my dreams like
last night was the first night of my dream journal and i remeber trying to start my car but all the pointy parts of my keys were broken off it was just the circle ring part and such (ya know the things that dont make sense)
On a side note i have noticed that as i try to recall the dream from the previous night i could also recall other dreams that happened before that! like my dream mind became more clear or something.
does this happen to you guys? Or is it just a coincidence. because the night before i started my dream journal i was talking to my girlfriend about if she could recall any of her dreams and she said "i dont remember that last time i did" and i replied with the same thing but once i woke up and started writing key points its like all other dreams flood in.

That's pretty cool, it never happened to me though, although I found out as I wrote down the second dream that if you look very carefully you will notice repetitive things people or themes

You can have a lucid dream, even if you have crappy recall. Obviously, the better your recall, the higher your chances of having a lucid dream. You want to remember and record enough dreams to become familiar with the feeling of dreaming. That is the first step in learning to recognize the dream state.

Well mine are pretty vivid, but not lucid. Something that's helped me remember dreams is after turning off my alarm clock laying back in bed, and thinking about every little detail in my dream. Then I write it down in my dream journal. Tonight I'm trying Subliminal Messaging 3.0 (it's kinda like a song someone on here made) and I'll tell you if it helped with vividness, or gave me my first lucid dream.
