I think i did it for my 2nd time?

WEll today, just like minutes ago i felt really tired cause i slept really late yesterday doing HW so i took a nap, i laid facing down w my hand under my pillow, As i was falling as sleep all i can remember its that i started dreaming about something then i find these girls that were wearing black skirts and clothing on a sunny day i tell them its too hot for those clothes, they ask me where the subway is so i try to guide them. in our way to the subway i try to bust a stunt jumping over a bench and i land good so i tell the girl 'you saw that!? i jumped with style' then she starts laughing at me and says 'you were lucky do it again!' then we get to the entrance of the subway, so i try to do my stunt again and i land wrong so i land the same way i went to sleep facing down w my arm in the same position (that reminded me that i was dreaming), so from here on everything freezes and alot of things are going through my head, then i remember about lucid dreaming so i try to imagine something. i thought of a FUNK song and it starts playing on the background dont remember what song it was but i sounded pretty funky and cool ehehe, (by now im pretty exited so i try something else) as i try to stand up from that position i was i touch the floor so when i see my heand trying to stand up i imagine dirt under my hand, then it apeared and i tried to grab it as i try to grab it, it felt soooo real, that i got soooooo exited i was like 'omg fuck fuck fuck this issss crazy feeling' and i knew that my body was in the bed and at the same time i also was in the dream, then i see everything blurry and cant think what else to do i dont know why i blanked-out so i woke up and started to type this.

So was it a dream or was it LD? IDK i could have sworn it was a LD but im not tooo sure at the momment. i had practiced lucid dreaming back in Aug 2009 but only experienced it once and it was short too, this got me so exited im gonna start practicing again any tips any comments or suggestions please help me on this.

congrats you had yourself a lucid dream, sounds like your movement control was limited, but thats still pretty good!

      My Advice:

-Stabilize the dream when you first realize you are dreaming ( by rubbing your hands, spinning(don't close your eyes in the dream), or by shouting a command (ex: increase lucidity).

-Do reality checks when reminded of odd dreamlike phenomena (also be more aware of your surroundings in real life, and in the dream world)

      - Keep A Dream Journal- whether on this site or in a notebook ( it helps gather info on dreamsigns, increases dream recall, and helps increase chance at realizing you are dreaming.

Keep motivated (sounds easy... but many people lose interest because lucid dryspell gets the best of them) it pays off in the long run.

If you are ever in need of any help feel free to ask more questions. Good luck and keep with it!

Congratulations! That sounds like a crazy dream, even if you woke quickly.

@Nufeather1 thank you for the advices, so for example if next time i have a LD, do i try to rub my hands or think to have the thought of rub my hands i dont know if you understand me, but i get confuse with that, in other words do i need to think of the action or just simply attempt the action.

@Robot_Butler it actually was! i mean the best part was when i felt that fresh dirt in my hands and i even tried to penetrate the ground with my hand it was amazing.

You must perform the action in order for it to work, that and commands work best for stabilizing a dream. I personally have success with the commands, but it seems a large majority of people use rubbing their hands for stabilization in a dream. I also forgot to mention one more tip.

Never supress any of your 5 senses, it causes a loss of dream control (Ex: someone closed their eyes in hope of teleporting, but ended up waking themselves up). It is very important you be as mindful and thoughtful as you can possibly be.

      Hope that helped!

I think you did the right thing by grabbing the dirt. Touching the dream world, the ground, or your own dream body is a great way to stabilize the dream.
