      Smile Remember me? Vaguely?

I joined this site way back, but I didn't post much. I didn't have THAT many lucid dreams (lucid dreams mean dreams in great detail, right?)

I decided to come back after a nightmare I had last night about a swamp, being strangled by a rope, and avoiding swamp creatures (half-man, half-tree). I talked to a friend from a Pokemon forum and she said that it might be sleep apnea (did I spell it right?) and sleep paralysis. I felt exactly what I did in the dream after I woke up.I woke up after a swamp creature tried to poke a hole in my stomach with its finger. I felt the tingling sensation AFTER I woke up. I actually felt that it was hard to breathe in my dream when I was being strangled with a rope during a talent show.

Just so you know, I'm a very, very heavy, yet wild sleeper. I destroy my bed when I'm sleeping. Pillows fall off the bed, the sheets below me come loose, and the bedsheets on top of me do a 90 degree turn, sometimes falling off the bed as well.

      Well, I'm back. Now what?

No; a lucid dream is a dream in which you know you are dreaming. They CAN be very detailed and vivid, but they don't have to be.

it might be sleep apnea (did I spell it right?) and sleep paralysis.
Sleep apnea is a sleeping disorder that causes a person to stop breathing while they are asleep. What you're describing doesn't really sound like that. The tingling sensation may have been a result of sleep paralysis, but it's not uncommon to continue to feel things that were happening to you in your dreams after you've already awakened. If you wake up in SP, you won't be able to move.

Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure what lucid dreams meant exactly.

As for sleep apnea, I don't think I have it, but I researched it anyway.

I felt kinda funny today though. My body felt weird. Light-headedness, decreased appetite, slight stomach discomfort, especially when eating.
