Hi! I just registered today, but I have had some lucid dreams already, only I didn't know how they were called or anything. Today I got this curiosity about them due to a recent one, started searching and found myself here.
First of all, I wanted to know if any of you has ever had LDs without consciously inducing them. In my case, I think some of them might not be considered as induced at all, because they just happened with no apparent reason, but there are two which had somehow been induced, although not with any of the methods described here.

The first one happened because I wanted to see if you can really wake up from a nightmare by pinching yourself (I was like 10 and thought this was just a Hollywood invention XD), and as I had already had some LDs I decided that the next time I realised I was dreaming, I would do it and see what happened. After deciding this, I had a nightmare and the next night I repeated to myself "I will pinch myself if I'm in a nightmare" for a minute or two. That night I dreamt I was away on a trip with my school, although I didn't seem to recognise any of the other students. They were mean to me, but then I realised I was dreaming and pinched myself, only I didn't wake up and I just stood there pinching myself while the others laughed. The dream was quite long because I remember I did stuff like flying and climbing a mountain on my own (mostly flying, because I found it so cool).

Then the other one happened after I heard someone on the radio saying that if you had an LD you could ask the characters what they meant in order to learn stuff about yourself and I thought I should try that. There was no thinking about having an LD this time, but when I realised I was in one I asked the only character there was what her meaning was, only I got a really stupid answer back (the character was a friend of mine and she referred to a word we had invented in reality, but which didn't have an exact meaning).

I used to keep a dream journal for my own amusement, but I think now I'm going to do it again!

I hope that wasn't too boring.
