Everyone (at least, people who use Steam) knows about the infamous Golden Wrenches. For those who don't, I'll explain it: In an update, Valve (the makers of the game) decided to give out only 100 Golden Wrenches to random people within the player base. A LOT of people play TF2, so you can imagine how much conflict this spawned. This wasn't just a reskin, either, the wrench had a special effect when you kill someone, and even had special voice lines. Now, a user by the name of WiNGSPANTT decided to use his Golden Wrench for a greater cause: as a way to get donations for the charity known as Child's Play. Within two days he had already raised almost $300 dollars. He had promised to destroy his Golden Wrench because of this. As he got more donations, he asked the other Wrench owners to join him. Right now, 11 Golden Wrenches will be destroyed. I'm not asking you guys to donate; I just wanted to inform you guys about this because I know DV is a pretty big community and I know that we can probably raise a lot of money.
