I get into a very odd habit every now and then. When I'm trying to fall asleep, while lying on my stomach I'll "kick" my butt with my feet, hit the bed, repeat. Then I'll swing my legs sideways repeatedly. Or, I'll brace my feet against the edge of the couch or wall and push off repeatedly (sort of like "rocking", but I'm laying on my stomach).
I'll do those things until I fall asleep. Sometimes it's 30-60 minutes before I eventually do.

I'm relatively inactive, so perhaps walking before bed could help? I also have RLS, so I don't know if it's getting worse. Or am I "comforting" myself (like some weird version of thumb sucking). I have been feeling overly stressed.

When I'm awake and at the computer, I usually sit with my left knee under my left arm and my right foot under my butt. If I have my feet on the ground, I'll bounce them up and down crazily. (I like bouncing, but I tend to prefer sitting the first way).

Anyone else do this and know why they do it lol?
