I have heard of this before... that's funny that you don't have an ebay account. They just want to get the people that do to give out there account info.

You sure you don't have an account?

      You totally sure?????

      Confused yet?

      haha... that's funny.

by the way i have a tendency to state the obvious

this is phishing. People send out massive emails asking people to login, appearing to be from different places, most commonly eBay, paypal, or a bank. They have no idea if you have an account or not, but are hoping you do and are dumb enough to click on the link and "sign in" and wha-la they now have you login information. The page will look similar to the place it claims to be, but if you notice the URL is not an ebay URL.

yeah it's just a total scam thing. you can easily send out emails from addresses that aren't what they claim to be and stuff. it is phising.

Those things really annoy me. I keep getting them from Washington Mutual (whatever the hell that is) and i don't even have an account with them.

You can bet, 99% (if not 100%) of these "warning" e-mails are pure BS.

I get those all the time as well. Thing is, they are smart enough to recognize invalid credit card accounts. I tried entering stuff like 666-666-666 before.

Yeah, I got that same e-mail. I was wondering what that was all about.
