Movie Brainstorm

Hey DV I want to make a movie this summer, but I'm having writers block! So who wants to help me brainstorm? Lets start off with some ideas for a Main Character...

Do you have any idea about the plot or the direction you want to go in? What about the genre? I'm not a great writer but it seems you should at least have some sort of loose framework before you start creating your characters.

i want it to be simple Main character with a problem, who engages in an activity with stakes hanging in the balance and I'm open to any genre

Hmm... well getting started is always the hardest part... What about an ethical business person who is about to lose his house so he has to chose between remaining professionally ethical or breaking his "personal moral code" to make dirty money in order to save his family? (I'm a terrible writer, I know)

In my opinion, characters with huge internal battles, are the most interesting Try this A depressed main character, apathetic to most of his life, living like a drone. Losing a fight within himself, slowly breaking off relationships with his friends and loved ones because He/she feels inferior and bland When on the verge of losing his/her most important friend (maybe love interest, or even best friend) When he/she starts having vivid lucid dreams creatively using outlandish situations to sort out his/her problems, and put things into perspective as in finding real worth to his/her life and realizing that they do want to live and flourish. Think of suckerpunch but not as action packed, (although if you wanted it could be lol) Hope this helped! :]
