I moved this because it's really not about dreaming itself. But it could possibly spawn a valid discussion (or a flame war, I suppose ...but whatever), so I spared it a life in Senseless.
Ahem, anyway, to be blunt, look, Samwise-ass, if you find it unnecessary, then just don't pay it any heed. The board features were designed and implemented by head admin Icedawg for very good reasons, which of course, you didn't bother to even consider. As for people recalling how many LDs they've had, well, the object here is to have LDs, and have more, and better ones, so recalling the number of LDs you've had is kind of part of the whole concept, isn't it?
Beginning LDers often can't do things like summoning, so no, not everyone can do it. MILD, WILD, and other acronyms aren't aspects of dreams, but different methods of attaining lucid dreams, as well as types of Reality Checks. Maybe if you'd read anything in the Tutorials section, you'd know that...and it's C-Y-N-I-C-A-L, you dolt.
You're just making yourself sound completely noobish by spouting all this stuff, when you really haven't researched anything to have a leg to stand on to argue about any of it. Not to mention, you get extra noob points for either typing in all caps, or mispelling stuff, the latter of which you did. Guidelines and rules? Look, if you want to be a rebel, you can be one somewhere else. Guidelines are there to help those who need it, and/or beginners; rules are there for the same sort of reason, but also to prevent flaming, noobish chaos, such as in the case of message board posts.
Why don't you look around and take stuff in, and start to really understand everything before you try and put it all down? Learn how to spell, while you're at it!
Good day!
