Thread: Your DV Habitat

Hmm...i am usually sitting in my room...and i use a computer, but not a laptop...what do you call a computer that's not a laptop?!

Typically, it depends on where I am...but my favorite place would have to be at home, though I can do it on a Laptop, at a library, at school, & maybe even at a friend's house!
And I already have a picture of that on my website, & in the pictures area...(except I am doing my homework in it!!)

I got the computer in my bedroom.

I went ahead and scratched myself out cuz i didn't like the picture, but where i'm sitting is the computer still is.



This is another shot of my bed. I have more stuff on the other side such as my TV, PS2, big mirror thing, cabinets etc.


and before you ask, Yes it's comfortable as hell and Yes, those are elephants as my lamps.

Erm... a desktop?

I usualy sit in my studio apartment with cats everywhere, though occasionaly, I'll post at work. Those would be the weekday posts between 11:30PM - ~5:00AM EST, btw.

I would normaly be more illustrative in my description, but I'm just trying to stay up for a WBTB right now, and it's about time for the BTB part!

I personally recommend WBTBs! Good luck! If no one else, let me know how it turned out.

As for me, well, I have had three rotating DV Habitats thus far: (1) my desk in my room in the house that my parents are now selling, (2) my room at our place on Upper Saranac Lake, and (3) my desk in my dorm room. Actually, there's not much difference between the three locations -- all include desks and me using my Lappy, surrounded by the usual knick-knacks, i.e. fan, tape-dispenser, stapler, desk lamp, calculator, post-it notes, beverage, old empty and half-empty beverage bottles, cell phone, CD player, pens and pencils for doodling, etc. In all cases, my Lappy was within at most a two-foot radius from my bed (i.e. my soon to be "old" house), and at least a half-a-foot one (i.e. all dorm rooms). In the case of being in my dorm, I also have my own microwave and fridge, which is extremely convenient.

Me in my basement. Sometimes I have my guitar when I am typing messages.

Once in a while I'll go here on a friend's computer, but other than that I don't get on anywhere else. I need to clean, but I've been taking in a lot of stuff.

As for me.. I'm usually on my laptop while downstairs sitting on the couch watching TV.

Well, back at home it was usually at my neighbor, bryan's house. We'd chat, smoke cigs, drink coffee, play with the cats, watch documentaries, and have the greatest conversations I've ever had

Sometimes I would log in at home, but home wasn't a fun situation.

Now I live at my aunts house and I they have an excellent PC with a really nice scream and DSL. It's located in the study where they have all their West Point memorbibilia and all their BOOKS I'm usually smoking a cigarette and drinking an iced coffee.

Soon, I will have my own laptop, which they are getting for me, and then WHO KNOWS?! lol, I'm excited as hell.

eh..well..my mom actually did the whole decorating. The only say i had was what color i wanted my room(she ended up getting the wrong kind of brown, but it turned out ok i guess) and the gold slashes on the walls

skoll and it sucks... math class is basically everything ive been needing to learn about since I started 3D modeling back in 7th grade 2 years ago. So far I've aced the tests, done less than poor on the homework. Sooner or later they'll get it, yet Im still surprised I sit next to someone who drives while I cant change a tire. As for the other classes... blegh... except auto safety is pretty kickass. also my school is built in mountain cleavage thus completely wrecking any radio signal on level ground escaping or entering, so now I cant make (or even read!!) DV posts any more on my cell like i used to at my old skoll during those long boring math lectures that I've already studied indepenently before long ago on my own time (they didn't have cellular telephony network towers back in 78, btw all u younguns). sometimes the school's unencrypted wifi works, if im close enough. wayyy offf topicccc bye
