Favorite Superhero

I'm probably sounding like a real fanboy, but I really luv Spider-man (in an appropiate, heterosexual, not-gay way in deed, thought, or action)

I watched the old series as a kid, and my interest was only sparked by the superb movies (or shall I say, superb special effects) released in the recent years. I think web-swinging is an awesome form of transportation, and more varied than plain ol' flying. Toooo stylish. Plus, he's a nerd, and I got called that once....I remembered not to use too complex vocabulary when talking after that. The thing I'm disappointed with the old series is that his webbing isn't natural....and requiring cartridges....it just makes the "Spider-man" image incomplete, I feel.

Otherwise, my next favorite characters are the Pokemon (hey, they're sometimes heroes!)

I always liked spiderman better than like superman or batman. Superman is the worst though, all them powers and he still keeps getting into all that trouble. Whats up with that?

Its very hard to answer your excellent question without having a philosophical and anthropological discussion on 'who kicks the most ass'.

My favourite superhero's are Spiderman, Wolverine and The Hulk (Focusing on Marvel).

My favourite DC superheroes are Superman and Batman (The myths behind their characters are excellent).

I loved it a few years back when DC and Marvel went head to head and they created mixed characters from each of the worlds (you kids may be to young to remember 1997).

As far as my favorite superhero... I honestly can't say that any of them really stand out from the others. I'll have to give it some thought and get back to this thread.

I rather liked Psylocke from the X-Men until Marvel.inc changed hands and the noobs in power felt the need to "clean out the closet". Anyone remember that? They killed her off, as well as a bunch of other characters.

I saw the Fantastic Four movie and while it wasn't grand in and of itself, I rather enjoyed myself anyway. The guy that played Johnny Storm was quite handsome and I loved his take on the character. I'd see it again just for him.

Come to think of it... I do have a few favorites, but I doubt they'd be considered 'superhero'.

When I was younger, it would have had to have been Luigi or Yoshi (from Super Mario Anime)....I mean, I would have a lot of LDs when I was younger about that show. Now I would have to say that...Jade (from Jackie Chan) is a superhero. I mean, she has time-travelled, fallen in love w/the Sky Demon, & killed a big firedragon, & she is only about 11-13 years old!

George of the Jungle?! I would say he has to be the funniest superhero of them all...w/him always crashing into trees & climbing on the top of the golden gate bridge, it was a classic!
If I was to choose from VG characters, I would say Lyn from Fire Emblem, b/c not only is she really fast, evasive, & the only commander from all the Fire Emblem VG series to use a bow & the Mani Katti, but she risks her life to save her Grandpa, & when Eliwood shows up to help her save her Grandpa again (she does most of the work), he tells her his father is in danger, & instead of aiding her injured Grandpa (she gets someone else to do it, don't worry), she goes to help Eliwood save the world! Now that is a hero!

Other than him, I have two favorite superheroes of all time. One of them, would be Batman. (The animated series and Batman and Robin cartoons really stood out above everything else. I'm glad they incorporated some of that into Batman Begins.)

Other than that....One word....

SPAWN.

You just don't mess with Spawn. Why? You'll Die. Thats why.
I'd have to say one of my favorite Spawn moments was when the leader of the KKK was setting him up to be ambushed in an old burned-out house, and while he was stalling, waiting for his boys to come and storm the house, Spawn used his "I am Badass Incarnate" powers to turn the leader of the KKK into a black man. And then left the house right before the goon squad showed up.

...You just don't mess with that.

Oh...and the Image version of the Batman/Spawn collaboration = Too tight. Especially when Batman splits Spawn's face open with a batarang while Spawn's trying to call a truce. LOL. What human could get away with that without having his spine ripped out through his nostrils?

Cat Woman rocks but hands down Wonder Woman is The all time kick ass, hot chick superhero!!!

See other people like her too!!! So that just prove she Rocks all your other superheros!!!

Even Elvis and Super man follow her around!

Viewtiful Joe! Well video game wise, anyway. Comic wise, it's a toss-up between Spiderman and Batman. Mostly because of the whole "I'm not just a jock who fights crime, I have a brain, too."

I made dis topic after picking up my first ultimate spider-man comics, and then some more...and more, didn't read them all in order, but oh well

though not my fav, but the one hero who kicks the most ass is Wolverine, and that's just because he wants to all the time. and you never know how many people he's tossed in the trash, remember, he's older than he looks.

i think batman is just ok, he's not a real superhero, just a billionaire with really good karate skills who picked an outfit that would intimidate ppl enough so they won't take the time to remember his voice, eyes, or mouth....

But the one I would count on to save the rest of the world would have to be Superman. He's just got it all: fast, smart, sexy, strong, can fly, x-ray vision, laserbeam eyes, absolute-zero breath...AND he's an alien.
