Lost soul, if you don't mind, what witchcraft can you do?

That is if you call it that. I have never tried anything related to it or even looked the stuff up. I am just curious, what exactly is it that makes someone a witch, magic user, or whatever it is called. And what kinds of things are you able to do? Is it more like those crappy tv shows or D&D?

Well, she wrote something about that. I was wondering what exactly a witch can do. I am just curious about witchcraft, but not sure if it something I would want to try.

When I told my best friend about lucid dreaming, it was awesome. I thought she'd sorta think I was a bit crazy or something but I also knew she wouldnt make fun of it, because she's my best friend.

Damn, did I get to know her from another side! It was awesome. I found out she's wicca.... She also LD's but interprets them in a different way, and she's had some premenitions that come true, or not because she's seen what happened and she made a choice... I dont really know what to think of it because I thought that I didnt believe in that sort of stuff.... but, I know her. She's not making it up.

I am not sure if the stuff exists or not, but I would not mind finding out. - in a good way of course

Real magic is nothing like you see on TV or in the movies. That would be nice. The movie The Craft was fairly accurate with the rituals and such, although it was dramatized, of course. When I say I’m a witch, most people either don’t take me seriously or they run the other way, hate me, call me a freak and a Satanist, etc. Most people are under the misconception that witches are green, wart-faced old women riding broomsticks on Halloween or that we worship the devil. While Satanism is a valid religion and should, at the very least, be respected as such, we are far from Satanists. Nor are we anti-Christian (or any other religion). The truth is, we are a varied people, women and men, of a very old religion that worships nature, life, death, the earth mother and her lover. We recognize and respect that many gods (or aspects of “God”) exist, but most importantly that they exist within the individual and not in the sky out of our reach. The Craft doesn’t provide answers as to what exactly gods are, but it emphasizes that whichever way you relate to a deity is the right way for you. We follow three simple laws:
Do as ye will, harm none.
Do what you will, so long as it doesn’t interfere with anyone else’s free will.
That which you send out returns to you times three.

Being a witch is about having your eyes wide open and experiencing the whole onslaught of existence. As I said, we worship life and death equally. Without one, you cannot have the other and one always leads to the other, thus continuing the never-ending cycle.

As far as magic goes, it’s not so much magic as it is a weaving of the energies around and within you. I have access to good spells, neutral spells, and evil spells. Now, this is where it gets a little complicated. A good or neutral spell is one that’s cast without ulterior motives and with the intention to harm none. An evil spell is one that’s cast with the intent to harm, or to bend or break someone’s will. There are ways around this, though. You can, for example, cast a spell to attract a lover. This doesn’t affect the person’s will in the least; it simply speeds up the inevitable or makes contact with them easier. That would be considered a ‘neutral’ spell. It's really all in your intent. Witches (that I know of) don’t usually categorize their spells like this, but I thought it would be a bit easier to understand if I did. That said, I have many spells in books here in my home as well as a few that I’ve concocted and tailored by myself. If someone wants or needs a specific spell that I don’t have, I can usually find it (or a blueprint to create my own spell) with relative ease by way of the internet. The internet is a wonderful thing for Witchcraft because it allows us to exchange spells and communicate with other witches without traveling long distances. I’ve even heard of online covens!

I hope that answered your question. I tend to digress and get a little too wordy for my own good. With Seeker’s blessing, I’m actually thinking of putting together some short essays for the tutorials section, dealing with crystals, colors, candles, and dreaming. Admittedly, I’ve been a little hesitant to do it though, for fear of the reactions I might get and also out of concern and respect for everyone. I don’t ever want to come off like I’m pushing my ways on anyone.

I just want to say LS that I will never lose respect for you because of what you are interested in because you're a very good person with good morals. Unlike my family, I do not think witches and magic is evil. I would love that essay in the tutorial section. It could give a whole new light in dreaming and for those who do not like witchcraft or anything related to that, then you could possibly write a warning at the top of what the essay will be about and ask those who do not agree to look the other way.

Thank you guys. Really, it means a lot to me to hear that.

I'd like to add some things to the tutorials section because there are things that have worked for me and others that I'd like to share with all of you. There are methods I practice that have little or nothing to do with witchcraft, like working with crystals and color. I'm just afraid that, because I am a witch, it will all be taken badly. There are a lot of people on this forum that are very strong in their faith, and I don't want to offend them or seem like I'm pushing my views on them.

I don't know. Maybe we should vote? "Should Lost Soul be allowed to add stuff to the Tutorials section? Yes: We might learn something. Or No: she's a damn freak."

Green magic is basically earth magic. It's neutral, in that it can only be used to better yourself or to commune with the earth, nature, the goddess/god.

Technically, by the Law of Three, you would get three fruit baskets. And I would love to trade knowledge sometime. The Native Americans were very close to the earth and quite learned in herbology (which I know next to nothing about).

You can, but it's a great exertion of energy and not worth the effort. Trust me, if it were that easy, I would be a size 1 with the greatest ass in the world.

I can do lots of things with magic, just like I can do lots of things without magic. Being a witch isn't all about the magic, though magic does certainly play a part in our lives. We don't generally like to say "Oh, I can do this" because we're not in it for a power trip (well, some witches are. Those are usually the dark ones).

I was once into trying the whole Conjuring Spirits things like Celestrial beings, demons, spirts, angels. I read and read about that stuff and they all talk about using banishing ritual of pentagrams and such.I attempted to conjre this spirt who was called Vauael form the grimoire of armadel but it never worked. -_- NEVER and I tryed many times and after many times i tryed many many more times and after that i tryed a few more times then after that, one more time and nothin -_- but I still believe that its possible, just not for dumb -ass me !

p.s. Are you a believer in the law of Karma = liek the universe returns whatever you do back to you. or something liek that, (that responsibility for unskillful actions is born by the person who commits them)

goodluck with witch stuff and use only nice spells kk ^_^. maybe there is one to get be a non-psycho girlfriend. o.0

Word of advice, never mess with spirits. They are not something to play with. You can get seriously hurt by doing that.

As for LS being a witch. She taught me quite a bit. She is very knowledgable about her craft. Ain't that right, Sis.
