      Best Horror Movie

Well in my opinion, The Ring was awesome, so awesome I had to turn on the light and watch cartoons after seeing it for about an hour and a half. But it isn't my personal favorite.I like Final Destination 2, Jeepers creepers, certain friday the 13ths, certain halloweens, but my overall favorite is The Exorcist. I don't know why but that seemed to send a chill down my spine way worse than any other. Especially watching it alone(noone was in the house at all and it was around 8:00 pm)I didn't have to watch cartoons after it for some reason and it was scary as hell.I know most of you are going to tell me what a wuss I am for getting scared after watching that, but it seemed to strike very close to home.So I wanna know what your favorite horror movies are.

Edit:It was hilarious seeing you ppls responses to ghost ship.Honestly that movie was corny as hell.So I replaced it with my real opinon. (that girl on the exorcist still scares me to death.)
      You guys suck.

ghost ship? u gotta be kidding me, that movie was so cheesy it made me laugh. the ring had its moments, due to its editing and imagery but the plot sucked, if u want a good horror film see the shining, or kung; fu enter the fist (i know its not horror but its so bad its scary).

no, enter the fist was so CORNY it was SAD.

The Ring is one of my favourite movies. other than that I haven't seen many. I watched it all alone, around midnight in the dark. wasn't scared one bit. but I am older than you so...*shrugs* I liked the plot alot. especially the ending. at first I thought it was over when she got out of the well, and I was like oi how gay. but then the girl comes out of the screen and I was like HELL YEAH!

      TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE!

lol no I hate horror, except when they're really freaky like Hypnotic, about some medieval priest and strange satanic rituals and immortal life and churches built in a pentagram...

paper doll, when i said that the plot to the ring sucked i was refering to how some girl had magic powers or what ever and then made some tape (poof) out of no where, and now her whole life is to wait for people to watch it and magically call themand then 7 days they die cause she come out of a tv. what if after 7 days u were in the middle of the woods with no tvs for miles, looks like she would have some walking to do.....

I hated the ring, the tape with the bugs and crap was stupid, and the girl-comes-out-of-screen scene wasn't good either.
Final Destination 2 was horrible, the hospital explosion scene was impossible, many glitches.
My all-time favorite horror movie is Silence of the Lambs. Few movies scared me like that one.

Anyone seen house of the dead? It sucked beyond reason. It had absolutely nothing to do with a house, didnt scare me at all and was basically a bad excuse to show topless girls.
      You guys suck.

I dunno what the scariest movie ever is, but according to my dad it's the Amityville Horror. He saw it when he was younger, and it gave him nightmares for weeks. Never seen it myself, though.

The only movies that I can consider scary are the ones I saw as a kid, The Shining, Nightmare on Elm Street (my favorite is part 3 ), Friday 13th, ect. They don't even tickle me nowadays... I wonder if 20 years into the future someone will write what I just wrote, but about The Ring, Stir of Echoes, ect.
