Down with LimeWire (and Kazaa, and Morpheus, and BearShare, and whatever else there is now).
Torrenting is the way to go, it will revolutionize your downloading life.

Not that I promote Piracy (on ninja-cy)

But yes, torrents are the best way. The qualaty allso is way better: with kazzaa or shit like that you get the wrong movies or music, and viruses. Not with torrents. And the speed of torrents is Way better. It's only a bit harder to find ' rare' things with torrents.

But I do promote buying music, especially from unknown (starting/poor) bands you like.

Some ISPs are starting to put software on their servers that fights torrenting. I know mine has. It still beats the hell out of shady p2p programs though.

Yeah, I agree about torrents. I'm all over them normally, but finding individual songs by moderately obscure or VERY obscure artists is difficult. Therefore Limewire for finding individual songs, but torrents for increasing your music library in general. The no virus thing is a plus, too. Either way, Azureus AND Limewire are running right now for me.

I can get 300 kb/s easialy.... but normally I download lesser seeded stuff, and only like 4 times at the same time, so it's mostly around 150 k/s,

In theory it's like 2mb. But the 300 with torrents did surprise me, on site's the most I made downloading a file was 500 kb/s, but that's very rare. Most sites download one file slower then my torrents, lol

My connection is supposedly a little over 700 k/s, but I get speeds averaging around 60 kb/s using torrents. Though note that the torrent client you use plays a major role--One vanilla bittorent, I got speeds topping out at 12 kb/s. Switched to Azureus and got 64 kb/s.

And I ONLY download movies from torrents. Music videos are an exception, but anything over 50 Mb is likely to be virused or screwed up en route using Limewire. Torrents are much more stable.
