Meh...I could understand people not appreaciating some basic move or something that doesnt look cool that actual takes some talent or dedication like an over the top rope bump, but when theyres something as amazing as actually turning in mid air, landing perfectly across someones body and not taking the time to balance, then doing a backflip from there onto someone...something I DO know, no one on here would attempt or be able to do...what does it take?

It amazes me how people are impressed by some fake special effect in a movie or some crap...but not some awesome feat in a wrestling ring, and yes thats the reason most of the time...JUST because its wrestling, and because they are still stuck in the past and have that stereotypical no talent wrestler of the 80s in there head...

...if you were walking down the street and saw someone doing it, no one would say "Man thats not cool at all"...quit being so damn biased...

firstly, professional "wrestling" is not wrestling. it's one gigantic, stupid soap-opera for people who have shorter attention spans than fans of 24 and some innate ability to not be incredibly turned off by how stupid the costumes/fans look, how fake all the dialogue and "acting" is, and how scripted the "matches" are. i flush more interesting things down the toilet everyday. if you are interested in REAL athletic ability, how about watching something like gymnastics or martial arts.

NASCAR is also ridiculous, but at least it's not really obviously a poorly scripted action/drama. professional wrestling is live-theater for people who can only understand the grunting of grotesquely oversized greased up men/women pretending to be fighting each other. like i said, why not watch REAL athletes, like actual gymnasts who would be able to do a lame move like this with much more grace and poise. or maybe some martial arts competitions which haven't been planned out ahead of time.

People cannot "turn in midair." He started applying the force to turn as he was first jumping off the thing, fyi. And yeah... wrestling is kind of lame. Do you honestly think a wrestler would have time to do all those fancy moves in a "real" fight?

I know some kids my age (teenagers) who could probably do that with a bit of practice. It's a well placed 180 and backflip.

Once again...your judging the ENTIRE sport off of the stereotype of a wrestler from the 80s...

like i said, why not watch REAL athletes, like actual gymnasts who would be able to do a lame move like this with much more grace and poise. or maybe some martial arts competitions which haven't been planned out ahead of time.
First off all I really cant see anymore "grace" you could put into this...he didnt stumble, the moonsault was perfect...

...second of all they wouldnt know how to do it without killing eachother...

...third of all...matches arent planned out, only high spots like that...shows how little you know...

...and last of all...how is that in ANY way lame?

People cannot "turn in midair." He started applying the force to turn as he was first jumping off the thing, fyi. And yeah... wrestling is kind of lame. Do you honestly think a wrestler would have time to do all those fancy moves in a "real" fight?
      Yeah...guess it sounds better...

...and why would I wanna watch two people push eachother for a few seconds then grab eachother for another more...then leave 30 seconds later after one of them gets in a punch anyway?

Meh...its never gonna change...even when wrestling is popular again...people will appreciate some dude shooting a ball into a hoop then getting to rest for 20 minutes...

Its a load of crap, lets applaud a dude for hitting a ball down a field, then riding in a little cart and tapping the ball in, but lets piss on a dude fall off a 20 foot steel cage or wrestling for 75 minutes...

stop being snobs, everyone. There is such a thing as real wrestling, and regardless of how much you hate the televised version, that was a cool move by any standard.

the soap opera aspect of wrestling is certainly lame, which is why i haven't watched it for years. however, some wrestlers (particularly in lesser known 'leagues') are incredible athletes.

my friends and i did backyard wrestling three or four years ago. its much harder to do many of the moves than it seems...and more painful

i don't see how anyone could fail to be impressed by the skill required for that move in particular. though i certainly understand why someone wouldn't be impressed with wrestling as a whole.

I'm no wrestling fan, but it's ridiculous to deny their awesome athletic ability. When's the the last time any of you lifted a 400 pound guy over your head and spun him around?

All you people hating on wrestling need to get a grip. Just because your scrawny out of shape physique feels threatened by the sight of truly conditioned athletes, is no need to vent your low self esteem.

Where's Ryan Paris when you need him? <sigh>

Sorry if I came off as hating wrestling... I'm just saying I find stuff like martial arts more impressive. But of course, lifting people of that size (I wouldn't say 400 pounds though...) is of no doubt hard, I just don't find most of the moves very practical (ruins the realism for me)

This is Cena lifting the Big Show (500+lbs) onto his shoulders to administer an FU.

*As a note I was thouroughly dissapointed that they scripted Cena to win, but I understand the reasoning.
