Thread: i remember when when my mom thought i was nuts as a kid

yea.... i remember when my mom thought i was a bit wacky as a child ( probably still does who knows) but when i younger, about 10 years old and i first experienced sleep paralysis... damn... the stories she heard from me while explaining that one!!!! i wasn't making up one thing i said to her, but of course she thought it sounded absoultely insane, like a scene from the exorcist. I would tell her that i'd be laying in my bed, not capable of moving and start hearing voices from all over. i'd tell her that i'd twitch and shake and not be able to speak... she would get frightened as i told her this hahaa... has anyone had any stories like this when they first experienced sleep paralysis? when i look back on it now, i find it quite humurous of my mothers reaction... if she only knew....

Haha, she ever have anyone show up by your bed dressed in black, white block in the collar, black book in one hand and cross in the other?

Unfortuantely, I always tried to rationalize mine - either just say it was a weird dream or a trick of the mind (which in a way it is). One time I remember hearing a buzzing and crackling sound and feeling like I was being electricuted by my guitar amplifier. I thought the next day that is was probably me stretching in the middle of the night that gave me that tingling/electricuting feeling and my mind just trying to make up a reason for the feeling. My guitar amp wasn't even in my room!

Tried to tell my mom about lucid dreaming and she thinks I'm on drugs!
