No... you're wrong. Put it in an image editing program and you'll see every side length/angle measure/slope is exactly the same.Originally posted by ledzeppelin

actually your wrong to the eye it will look exactly the same
but if you were to calculat the area of each colored area in each triangle they wil be the same but to do that you would need to actually have a physical object because there are gaps in the first triangle that would leave an area equal to the missing square in the secondyou can't do that on the internet!.... wait yes you can do it again!

Yeah, docthory, that's one definition out of what must be about 4 pages. Read some of the others. My point is that words have different definitions depending on how one uses/intends them. You seem to have picked up one definition and treating it as the only one that anybody in the discussion is using... so... yah. Basically, things ain't so objective, nominalism is a BIG problem in any sort of discussion.

When you're talking mathmatically, yes, a line by definition is straight. But there are many, many other definitions of "line", just as valid but perhaps less apt given the mathematical nature of this puzzle, and just yelling out abusively that people are thick for using any other definiton, doesn't really help to clear things up.Originally posted by docthory
