Wow great history. You know what it's funny the first time I saw your pictures and looked at the huge Mass in the background I was thinking to myself " that looks like someone sleeping on his back "..lol I like that, so they call that the sleeping Giant? That's cool. I showed my wife last night and she thought your city was the most beautiful....Damnit now I gotta move..lol

Oh and thank you Sortilegio for giving me the opportunity to scroll allllll the way over to read everything else...lol Caracas is very nice also. See you guys have mountains and I love mountains I think even if Chicago did have mountains these big ass buildings would probably block all the beauty of them. Nice pictures you have. This is cool I've never known anyone from Venezuela.

Tsen: Logan Utah just speaks for itself I've always thought that Utah had some of the most fascinating mountain scenery that one could ever feast their eyes on. Excellent pictures, thanks for sharing.

Ummm... well, here's some pictures of my city, Auckland
(I didn't take them, they're just from the web, but meh.)

Auckland Harbour and City Center from the Harbour:

Auckland Harbour Bridge: (It's actually shittier than it looks)

Auckland City Center by Night: (Actually, it is SOMETIMES quite pretty, we have lots of colourful lights for some reason...)

Auckland fwith lots of Boats and Stuff:

I might post more later if I can find any decent photos.

It's the Sky Tower. It's the tallest building in the southern hemisphere of the world.

I think they sort of cheated, because a good deal of the height is an unnecessarily tall transmitting aerial. It's part of the sky city casino complex, and there's a resteraunt and stuff at the top (well, the middle anyway). But, the VAST majority of the length of it is just concrete and elevators. It's really soprt of pointless if you ask me (excuse the pun) but, it's sort of like an icon of Auckland now.

Downtown Midland (my 'hometown&#39. Population: 16,700.

Gotta show a snow pic when you're from Canada (yes, that's a snowbank in the middle of the road, it's plowed there during the day and removed at night).

The nearest un-boring place. I love Toronto. Yes, that is the tallest freestanding structure in the world, thank you very much.

I think Canada looks cool. I'd like to retire there - no offence meant to under 60 year old Canada dwellers! There are loads of mountains, lakes and great looking countryside. I miss deep snow. I remember snow about a foot deep when I was little. Now it's always about three centermetres deep, and all slushy and wet - global warming I s'pose .

I always loved it up here in Canada. But I used to take millions of trips thorugh the heartland of America and I always have loved those quiet fields of tall corn in the summer. My dream house would be somewhere in Iowa or Kansas hiring someone else to harvest and grow it. It'd be just eye-candy for me basically . Always loved the wide open space.

      Calgary, Alberta, Canada

They are all thumbnails, click on a picture to view a bigger version.

1st pic: View of downtown at night. Pretty, huh? Big saddle shaped building is Pengrowth Saddledome, well-known, biggest local sports arena.

2nd pic: Another view of downtown.

3rd pic: Downtown, again, "Olympic Plaza".

I like it, great place to live.

I totally understand that. Fast food is not that good for you anyway. I see Mcdonalds and BK on every other corner in Chicago and I haven't eaten it in years. I don't think I could stomache it. I'm so used to eating healthy If I ate a Big MAC right now I'd probably Die..lol
