7. Only one of them was interested enough to start a dream journal. But he lost interest again after a month or two.

At least 5. In real life. 10+ if you count the interweb.

One of them is a natural and didn't know what it was, one took it up for a week or two and promptly gave up, and the rest were just,"Oh, that's cool," and went on with their lives.

Told like 5 and none of them as far as I know can be botherd to start a DJ... meh there loss

Alot of people seem to dismiss it really fast. I don't understand that. I guess that are the kind of people that never even stop to wonder at the beauty of things.

Yes that does sound like a total load of hippy-crap, but sometimes people should just stand still and see the beauty of a tree, or a rock, or how you see them and such.

Point is: people that really don't care live in their own little world with walls on 3 sides of them.

I've told all the people I'm close with about lucid dreaming - they seem interested but not enough to try it themselves.

WHY wont they listen? I&#39;ve told several people in the last month, and NO-ONE gave a damn. The only person I think would care is my sister, and she isn&#39;t in SA at the moment.

meh, people have grown hard and wary because of scams.

Also, nobody relizes the point of being alive any more. To be happy. LDs make people happy but everyones following the norm and caring about money more. sure money can buy a bit of happiness but take a nice walk and smell the flowers. Do what ends up making you happy >.<

I&#39;ve told a dozen or so. Two have successfully tried it, but I&#39;m not sure whether either has stuck with it.

It seems very akin to learning to play an instrument. It&#39;s easy and a thrill to be able to make a few decent sounds when you first pick it up. Getting good at it is another story though - requiring dedication and patience. Precious few seem to be willing to invest the effort in something as unknown and difficult to fathom as lucid dreaming.

I&#39;ve told one and it wasn&#39;t even my choice. He saw my "Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming" book on the floor. I told him it wasn&#39;t mine, he didn&#39;t believe me, and there was laughing - not my laughing.

If anyone found out it would make everyone think that I was totally sad and into spirituality and all that stuff. It wouldn&#39;t be good. It&#39;s best for me if I just shut up about it.

What the hell kind of "friends" would make fun of you for something you&#39;re interested in? I think it&#39;s time for you to re-evaluate who your real friends are. If a "friend" of mine laughed at me for being interested in dreams, I&#39;d tell him to go fuck himself. How immature can you possibly get? All that "you&#39;re different and that&#39;s bad" crap is just so juvenile and reeks of insecurity.

You should be proud of who you are, not ashamed of it.

I told my mom, a guy named Ger (interested, had one pretty quick.. but only tries in vacations), a guy named Thomas (interested and tried hard for a long while but never had one).. And like 5 other people I know over the internet (2 of them were interested).

I told about 5 people about it. Everyone was interested when telling him/her about lucid dreaming. No one ever attempted to try though..

I have told one of my closest friends so far, but he wasn&#39;t interested. My mom knows that I&#39;m into it aswell; I told her to borrow the "Explore the World of Lucid Dreaming" book for me.
