well, most of the time i'm cooking for myself, and i cook in batches which i freeze. Basically home made ready meals. Great if all i have to do is boil a pan of pasta or rice.

Staples that i buy when shopping. Pasta, rice, cheese, bacon, and eggs.

I also like cook - in - sauces, but not the cheapo ones..they're just rank.

As for spices, it's usually salt, pepper, and mixed herbs.
I also like a lot of onion and garlic.

When my boyfriend is here at the weekend, he'll cook or i'll cook, depending on who feels like it.

Last night he made dinner (spaghetti bolognese) and this morning i made breakfast.
(poached eggs on toast with bacon)

My parents are usually busy with their jobs so every now and then I end up cooking for my younger siblings, as I am the eldest. I took two years of home economics, so I know my way around the kitchen. Besides, my pastas and breakfests are way better then my parents.

I'm a fair cook but I have a tendency to cook more with a recipe rather than getting too creative. If it's a dish I've made a million times, then I might try something new but I just haven't had enough time to experiment as much as I'd like.

I love to barbecue, though! I used to bbq by charing it, but then I learned that sometimes lower heat and more time can be better Who'd'a thunk? I love to grill chicken and also kabobs (a family favorite), but I'd like to experiement more with beef and vegetables. I skewered some beef that I had sliced thin and maranated and then grilled it... de-vine!

(And I'm going home in two days... and it's the holidays! Yeah food&#33

Men don't cook. If there isn't a woman around, they'll die from hunger. We all know that

I don't eat seafood either for the same reason you stated. And my stomach, I just recently found out, is lacking in digestive enzimes.

For a few months I could only eat soft stuff so my diet consisted of noodles, soups, bread. Things that weren't too hard on my stomach. Anything else I ate would cause me severe pain from about 10 min after I ate for up to a couple of hours. Eating just became too painful so now I still stick mainly to soft stuff but my diet is supplimented with vitamins and other needed minerals. I think I have the stomach of a 90 year old.

Despite that, I still love to cook. I can take a taste or two of my cooking but I can't eat it. Or rather, I can if I'm willing to put up with the pain afterward... which I sometimes do.

But... how can anyone not like cooking? It's making yummy stuff and things...

Though, I think that liking food, and being able to cook, are directly related...

I'm a skinny kid with a speedy metabolism and a great affinity for good food. I couldn't survive without cooking. I'm only decent though.

i love to eat good food, but i dont like to prepare it. If im cooking something complex, i get kinda overwhelmed with timing everything just right. Also, usually the only times i think to cook is when im hungry, but then im like "fuck this i dont wanna wait for this shit to cook" and i order something fast, or raid my friends fridge (shes a chef and loves to cook, shes always making me gourmet shit). Plus, i make a big mess when i cook and dont really enjoy cleaning the kitchen haha. Your dish on the first page looks good though, i might try it bro

I've known how to cook since I was 14 because my mom always worked.

Heh, almost nobody is ambitious enough to cook all the time. That's one reason I decided to attend culinary school -- good job security; everyone's gotta eat!

Right now if I were to live on my own, I'd live off bowls of cereal

But one day I'd like to learn.

Though I don't see where you all find time for it. I guess it depends on what kind of job I get when I'm done with college and how much free time I've got.

I'm 18 and have never cooked a real meal.. I don't really want to either. I don't have the skills. To me, from an artistic point of view (which is what I do).. it would be like me spending time on a painting, and then setting it on fire when I'm finished. I do like my food though, but I just don't want to cook. If I had a good girl who wanted me to I would try though.
